[Pir] Do you re-name the vessels that you keep in your fleet?

I'm in the middle of my 1st ever game.
I didn't re-name "Revenge" but I didn't keep her either. I sold her after I captured a Royal Sloop which I re-named "Scimatar" after the Reman warship in Star Trek Nemesis.
I used "Scimatar" to evetually capture Baron Raymondo's Flag Galleon which after some pondering I decided to re-name "Arc Angel". Being a Spanish ship, I almost named her "Diablo".
I'm looking for an elusive Ship of The Line now and have no idea what i'll name her.

And to answer your question, no I don't usually rename my ships. The only thing I do is number my flagship, thus reminding me how many times I split the bounty.

I name my flagship the "Alisa" and name the rest after either Stargate ships or nowadays Battlestar Galactica ships.

I always rename my flagship and call it the "Oktoberfest". I keep the names of all my other ships in my fleet the same.

Generally I rename my flagship 'Brig trouble', and any loot transporters get called 'Booty'. Arr!

Last time I played I named my one galleon Hammer and the second Sickle.

However this time I've taken a new approach with my flagship "Dirty Mary"

Suppose I were playing as the Dutch privateer "Buck Shotz", my large frigate might be renamed 'Muskatoon", and a treasure galleon "Blunder Bus", my royal sloop "Pistol".

The Englishman "Dirk Swift" or the French pirate 'Ray Pierre" would name his ships after cutlery acording to size Dagger, Dirk, Sabre, Claymoor....

Unless I'm planning to sack a few cities, I only keep one ship in my fleet, my flagship, and I always give it a name of my own choosing. I like naming Henry Morgan's large frigate "Enterprize", for instance.. When I rescue the governor's daughter, if I chose to make Mendoza's ship my own, I will name it after the girl, and accordingly make up a name for the girl based on her nationality.

I just got this again for the 360. Usually, the bigger, meaner ship, the sillier the name I give it.

I named my war canoe the Invincible.
I name my large frigate Puppy Love.
