Do you still play civ?

I was just wondering, with the forums and everyhing, do you still play civ? Are you so sucked into the fora that you never even thnk abut it?

Yer, it actually helped me to start playing civ again, i came back recently to the forums and a couple of days later i was playing my first monach game for like 6 months.

I still play Civ3, but the ratio of Civ to the forum is always changing. At times, I play lots more than I read the forums. At other times, it is the exact opposite.

I still play. Not as often as I used to, but then, I don't spend as much time on the forums as I used to, either. I'm hoping that Civ IV will have what it takes to suck me back into the obsession . . . but if not, well, I guess I can always settle for taking up a less important hobby next year, like having a life.

I spend considerably more time playing Civ than posting/lurking here and always have. I really on come here while at work or when waiting on the AI to take their stupid turns.

I could never CFC more than Civ. For those who do, I hope you get damned to the darkest hottest corners of hell where you listen to Barbara Streisand forever and ever while being forced to watch the Modern Joan of Arc shave her buttcrack....

I was thinking the same thing. The people who come to GD are generally active players either looking for help, or looking to offer input to others.

I think if you put the same poll in OT, the numbers would probably come out much different.

Either way, yes, I still play.

I spent more time here than playing civ. I am here on a daily basis, while I play Civ only few days a week. This is mainly because my current game is in the already decided late game stage on a huge map - a really sluggish endgame, I am in communism and in spite of stack movement, I have to manage tons of units!

I still play sometimes. The problem is, I'm a fan of huge maps, so I tend to never finish my games... My playing activity is peak-based. I can play for days straight and then drop the game for two monthes. Then I come back.

C3C is the only game ive ever bought , i borrowed farcry, but it didn't work on my pc, that was the closest ive come to even playing civ less

This poll *could* go in OT, but it would have a completely different set of results! It *is* "civ-related", and I assume the thread starter wanted the opinions of those who visit the site for Civ-related stuff, not Off-Topic material.

I play in spurts too . I do not finish alot of games though,
If I feel I am going to win easy- I start over . My daughter's sports
also take up much of my time, but I absolutely LOVE it and would not miss
her games or helping her practice for anything!!!

Ohh, I thought you meant civ1 Yes, I still play civ3 and actually civ1 sometimes too.

In these forums i get easily hooked up,but then CIV isn't a game to forget,so after some time in here i start to play again.
But my question would be :
How many games do you play in a period of time (let's say 6 months) .I play 3-4 games more or less.
