Do you stretch either before or after you exercise? Or do you just workout and leave? Do you even workout at all?

Usually I don't bother, but I know you're supposed to, so occasionally I'll bring myself to do it. (Before moreso than after.)

Befroe, but not after. Even though IIRC after is more important.

ditto. sometimes, if Im playing football against a very bad team, I wont even stretch at all

When track is in session, I am forced to both stretch before and exercise. I don't usually stretch after, although you are supposed to.

During the summer, I do neither. :yeah:

I am 39  so if I don't stretch some before any sports action I would
break into pieces and if I didn't break or tear something I would be so sore
that I would think I did anyway  .

I play football (that's soccer for clarity) every week and I rarely stretch for that (no need to stretch for just running), but I do warm up (i.e. easy myself into it).

It's been a while since I touched my set of weights, but I always stretched before and after. At the start I didn't stretch after, just before, and I felt really sore the next day, but then I started stretching before and after and I was fine.

Great way to get yourself hurt. You can pull a muscle just picking up the football or even just running down on the first kickoff before you even touch the other team.

I will before if I'm feeling stiff, but usually after I exercise I'm too tired to stand up let alone strech. So rarely before and never afterward.

Of course my exercise is more cardiovascular as opposed to building up strength. So I'm unlikely to pull anything walking fast on a tredmill, riding an exercise bike, or using that machine where you sit down and push against paddles with your legs and pull with your arms.

During soccer season, I stretch before games but am too lazy after a game to stretch. I wish our team did a formal after-game stretch to ease the soarness. During indoor track, I stretch before, during, and after as part of the team routine.

During lacrosse season I only stretch before I play a game. I've only pulled one or two mussles in my life.

I missed an entire cross country season during high school because I ran so much the summer before without stretching before and after workouts. I learned my lesson, and I stretch at least twice (before and after and occasionally during) during my workouts.

During Track season I'm forced to stretch both before and after. During the summer, I usually just stretch before if I'm going to stretch at all. I used to not stretch at all, but I found that it helps you jump higher when playing basketball.

I really should start stretching.

I usually stretch before and after. Workouts include: weight lifting, football, floorball, running and swimming.

I don't stretch. I only needed to once, after sitting in a truck for 1 hour with a hangover and deciding to sprint two city blocks to a subway jumping over fences and cars along the way as if it were a police chase. I felt the burn after that one.

And in the end i didn't even feel good enough to eat the damn sub.
