I mean, no one knows the future and we could die any moment, but the instability is a little different. And if you start dating, when do you bring it up?
The moment the Cops start banging on the door in the middle of that candle light dinner you were enjoying
Strange question? I'd say best bet is to tell the person imediately if they still hang around then your laughing.
How about if you were an alien, when would be the best time to let someone know, when they overhear the conversation with your mothership or when they catch you synthesising proteins from the food o mat you brought with you, or when they find your photon pistol? Tricky one?
Does marrying an american gives u a greencard ? If yes, then dating should help. Else i think u should atleast tell the girl ur dating about ur present dilemma, they got the right to know too and may help u in the future.
I see in which case yeah and imediately that way if your status becomes an issue she can't accuse you of dating her to get a green card or whatever. I don't know what the prejudices towards illegal imigrants are so I can't really say.
There will always be a right moment to bring it up. I wouldn't bring it up too early as she might turn you over later on (if all goes bad).
If the relationship starts to get shape (couple of weeks, or months) then would be an appropriate time. "Honey - you've just kissed an illegal alien ..."
I would date an illegal immigrant, I would even want to know beforehand. Heck, the chances of her getting caught aren't even all that high.
I don't think that I am yet so desperate as to seek out illegals, though. "Hey, baby, go out with me and maybe one day you can marry me and get papers . . ." With my luck, it is my only hope.
What i need to reiterate is there must be trust within 2 dating partner, call me old fashioned, but i think its best this way to keep a meaningful relationship. Both must open up to one another.
i would follow Rik Meleet's advise on this. tell her when things get stable. tell her ur concern. And never never ever mention the green card thingy.
