Doto [AdvCiv ModMod]

Whoa! One huge bug right off the bat! I cannot make my workers do any building unless I click on automate worker.
No other building buttons work at all. Not even the shortcuts, like R for Road/Path, and M for mine.

I'm Austrian...in the game.

Yeah, this is a rather big crippling bug. Because now, even with Automated workers, they don't do anything! I think they built a few cart paths, but now they're standing on a sheep resource, and not doing anything at all. What's wrong?

Okay, Automated workers can build cart paths, but only on the tile they're on. Which makes workers useless.

The game is basically broken...

Yeah, I checked in World Builder. No AI can build anything at all. Something is completely broken.
I'll try a Pangaea mapscript to see if it's Smart Map's fault. Doesn't seem likely...
Nope, other mapscripts are bugged too.
What in the world is going on here?

I never heard of this auto orders mod component.
As for why I'm the first one to report this? Maybe luck? :)

Or, people have downloaded your mod, and got distracted from playing it by a multitude of other things.
 
So far, it's running well.
no big bugs other than Ranged Bombardment not seeming to work. :)
Enemy archers can hit me, but my Trebuschet can't hit them? From two tiles away?
Also, the Great Desert Mosque doesn't add 2 commerce to desert tiles. :(

Oh, and Pacifism and Authoritian shouldn't really have penalties for not having them. Especially Authoritarian.

It's not Emancipation. :)
And Pacificism is a religious/philosophical belief. A normal population shouldn't complain either way.

Oh, and uh, to be honest, Sulfur, or at least the sulfur thing the Great Geologist can produce probably shouldn't add two unhappiness.

I know Sulfur smells bad and all. :) Maybe 2 unhealthiness.
 
the ranged bomb - i thought that was fixed inrevdcm -

you need to go in bug options (the beetle icon beneath the era name)

there on the revdcm tab - click and unclick the ranged bombardment , reload your game - and it will work.

this is a bug from revdcm 2.722.


you are right - some wonder once in the mods versionsm did do whatever they say - like this mosque, but i remove the python a long time ago - i just started to add those back - like ishtar gate and a few more.

i will add it to the patch that ill release soon after i get some more feedback.

all the rest - as usual - ill get them in the patch just like you suggested.

i started a game my self so ill be taking notes, anything you think i should change please write - right now what ive noticed that on 1500 the techs (ancient) might be a bit cheaper then they should be.

also - by mistake the great bath's added feature - is bugged.

and another - im trying to create an earth scenario - im working on a standard map - for now i placed some 25 civs on kinda wheer they suppose to start - but i mostly wanna have a scenario in modern times, should be nice, but hard work as well.
 
Hey, at least it makes sense for Uranium to cause unhappiness. :)
Google the Demon Core. A nuclear core caused two separate scientists to die horribly from radiation poisoning.

The only other thing I can think of is to make it clear that you can have a maximum of 8 world wonders, Unless I missed something. Fortunately, that's easy to fix. :)

Also, why would Public schools cause 4 unhealthiness? That doesn't make sense.
And Private Schools causing one unhappiness?

Also, the state property(I think it's that) civic is completely useless. There's zero reason to use it, unlike vanilla.
No bonus to speak of that's useful, and way too many negatives.

Also, one of the military civics, you know, like Mercenaries, standing army, and all, has a 2% extra experience gain in your borders. Last time I checked, you will never see a 2% increase. :)
The most experience from combat I ever gained was around 5 or so. 2% of 5 is a really small number. It's really small.
You might want to boost that up to 50% or so. So it can be noticeable.

Also as it stands, Environmentalism is totally amazingly way too good. No one would ever switch to another civic after they got it. It needs some of it's bonuses dropped a little to put it in line with the other great civics. As it stands, it blows all others out of the water.

Oh, that reminds me, I've said this before, but the hero/legendary hero/avatar promotion and the entire line, there's really no reason to keep it unless you decide to add a way to gain them.

A rare upgrade from fighting enough times, or given to you via a Golden Age bonus.
Speaking of Golden Age bonus, I would love for another mod to add a small chance for a Golden Age to give random promotions! The first time since Sevo and the Visa megapack that it would happen!

and i remeber you said something about the legendary proms's, i intend at some point to change the tree, but i think i need some help with it.
how do you think i should make the hero proms available?

Nor am I probably the most valid, considering I like playing on Settler. :)

But for the promotions? Sevo did it best, have them randomly given via a battle.
How they did it? I don't know. Download it and look at the script. I think someone on this forum has some knowledge of how it works too.

A reward for using the same unit to beat people up over and over. :)
Or, even a rare golden age based chance to spawn bonus promotions. I know someone made a mod where the Flavian Ampitheater had a 25% chance to spawn a unique unit. That was based off of Sevo/Visa/Arma's Modpack for Warlords, etc.

I just want to see that Golden Age boost again someday, without tweaking Sevo to get it to work.

And if I find any other oddness, I'll let you know.
Ah, and so far, I can't complain about techonologies giving me unhappiness/unhealthiness. Well ,much.
Fusion should give a happiness boost because, well, it's Fusion. Or, maybe Cold Fusion.
Maybe Fusion should reduce the chance of a nuclear meltdown from .00005% or whatever it is by default. No, really, I"ve never had one.
and drop it to Zero.
Because a Fusion reactor is like 40 billion times more safer.

And Cold Fusion is like Fusion at like 20 degrees F.

I have marked option of choosing religion upon discovery. But when i build one I am getting two religions each time! Yuppi!... or .... how to turn that off?
By the way... GREAT JOB as always Keldath!

i dont recommend using choosing religion, i should have removed that option, since i know about this problem (i think its because of revdcm, not sure).

As for Settler, I've been playing Settler since Civ 2. I'm not going to change that anytime soon. :)

I play a game like this to relax. Higher difficulty /= (does not equal) fun.

I do love this mod, and thank you for possibly adding a way to get the promotions without using World Builder. :)
 
I thought so..... I had the same issue under RoM2.... but..... I was hoping to get free promotions when heaving particular monasteries in the city(pankration I think for Hellenism and the other from Taoist monastery). My strategy was to develop/choose Taoism as base religion and Hellenism also in my civ as the first dude on the map and maul everybody to the ground using bare hands and wooden clubs before 2000 BC!!! Buhahahaha...ups..... I didn't take on an account that those monasteries do not give anything in O2. My bad... being sneaky and playing few mods at the time make people to do wrong decisions :crazyeye:
Right now I am in the middle of nice game in O2 so I keep playing ..... to much fun to give up so soon. Than I will play another one without choosing religion option on....

There is nothing else to do here.... because Germans will, as always, win the soccer game. (I am joking... I watch game on the left monitor playing on the right O2, dual view and multitasking rulez)
They have stolen quite few good polish players for their national team. (I'm Polish btw)

The Great Mosque of Djenn(plus two symbols which i hope can be replaced with something readable) gives me big red blob in the city were built. In addition I got one CTD at the time when the city did rise it. I used one autosave and tried again. It worked since flawlessly but BIG RED stayed. Just small bug of missing graphics I guess....

Dude this mod is stable like my last girlfriend on Prozac......
I can swear that at night when I turn my monitor and tuner off keeping PC with game on I can hear voices whispering ...plaaaay me.... dooonnnt stoooooooop .... where did you gooooooo?

well i usually tend to go through the art make sure i didnt miss something,

every now and then - i forget some art during the pak compile,

i will upload a small patch for it,
if you wish - you can go to the civ4artbuilding.xml file - and change the art for the mosque to something like palace or whatever you wish.

At least one of them..... It was some time ago and I have both in this city. So I bet You are right.

Is that intended? I cannot build any ships in lake cites except working boats! Sometimes I set a city in such a position that it can connect lake cities with the ocean so I can build and assembly my armada in secure location.Often set of cities can connect opposite oceans or few lakes giving a passage to the ocean.
I could swear that I was able to do it in previous versions.
