Double Your Pleasure

After it's installed, click on 'load scenario' once Civ3 is loaded. Scroll down to "Double Your Pleasure with GFX.bix" This will load the DyP scenario.

Have Fun!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... did not think of that :-D thanks..... i tried all that other stuff for nothing.... what a waste of a sunday. Thanks a lot tho.

Yes it is. Open the Map Editor, and load the "Double Your Pleasure with GFX.bix' file. This will load the rules and units/resrouces into the game. Then you can create any map you like.

I just started a new game and gave all the civs a humvee to start with. It certainly makes exploring so much more easier and quicker.

Hmmm...stone tools and a hummer...that's one lucky caveman.

hmm...this looks great but i have one question...if i install it, i'm gonna be stuck re-entering in all the units i added and tweaking the terrains to my liking correct?

Yes, Martock, I think you got that right. Isak is the wizard on this stuff, but he's busy so I'll give it a go. But you might find some of your units in the mod already.

Be careful with terrain changes (unless you're talking graphics which you can do outside the editor) as DyP plays very differently from the original.

We actually have a frozen set of features now :D
Well, almost. I need one final comment from the Boss himself, then it's set in stone (or ice  ).

Isak needs to implement that, then we need to check for obvious problems, then we have a go.

I almost can't believe it myself :crazyeye:

KAL-EL!!!!

ARe you going to add something in the nearest future!?
You see, after your grate mod I just can't play anithing else, it does'nt intresting me anymore( I just don't play any other games for years and now I also can't play even the regular PTW it's not intresting).

PLEASE!!!!
Can't wait any longer!
WE WONT some new technologies and units!( What about limit the rail road( sa far as iknow it's impossible but it is possible to make something instead of it, like the same railroad but it will be completly new with 11 moves for every unit.
I aslo thogut about something that will improve much the game view, it's pretty peases me of that in modern time everithing looks pretty ugly full of rail roads , so why not make some building that well give extre commerce in every squre( insted of the rail road affect) or something like that ?

Well if i can figure out what DyP put in, I will probably keep that and just add the rest in. No need to substitute if something is in already. The changes to Terrain was mostly to resources and now mountains can be settled...producing 1 food. My biggest change was to all resources...so I'd have to tweak them a bit. Since I may have to reinstall PTW anyway to try and correct my horribly slow military advisor screen, i may install this and then make my changes.

1 quick question, why didn't u guys add more unique units to the civilizations?

I'm sorry, was this asked before?

Ok just finished my first game and it was pretty dam good.
I played the Egyptians on a huge map and got a domination win on regent level that took just over 30 hours.... What a marathon game.

I like that there are so many different types of units to build and the combo of units to use is more varied than in civ3.
Plus there are soooo many different types of buildings too.

Congratulations to the DyP team for making such a great game even better, I REALLY enjoyed playing it.

Now I'll play a smaller map.

Ok, I am stumped on Downloading the one for PTW . Can anyone show me a way to Download the Components I need for PTW so that it can be played properly?

I just downloaded the whole 29MB file and installed it all for ptw. Then the 1.05x patch. But if you have dialup, you might not want to do that...

You guys should think about burning the files on discs and sending them out at cost. It would make it a heck of a lot easier for those of us on dial-up.

CivGeneral: For 1.05x you want to first install the 28MB Full 1.04x package (EXE version OR ZIP version) and then install the 320KB Patch 1.04x to 1.05x (EXE version only) Both installs should be pointed to your PTW Scenarios folder. If you are on dialup, though, you may wish to wait a week or two until the 1.50x release is made and just download that one instead.

SwampthingGreen: Personally, I don't want to even contemplate what's involved in doing that, but I suppose it is an option....
