DPII's Unit Previews

I think he's making a comparison of your elephant unit to the elephant logo of the republican party, and implying that you are making an elephant unit because you are republican, or that your making of an elephant unit designates you as republican, and so voting for Bush.

Sorry, Sword of Geddon, I think I just completely destroyed your joke -oops!

Hey, folks. I've been working on the Numidian Cavalry/Horseman/Mercenary whatever you want to call it... and I'm working on the Death anim right now...

I want to do something a little different than the usually horse collapses and rider falls off or gets his leg crushed... and since the Numidians were mercenaries, I thought maybe a turn-tail and run anim might be interesting...

If you'd rather I stick to the traditional style, I will, but lemme know.. more likely than not, I'll end up doing both.

Btw, I realize that the figure goes outside of the frame... this is just to give you an idea. It won't do that in the real one.

Dom, that is sweet. Love the "death" animation!

Well, they were not really mercenaries before anything else. They actually fought a LOT for themselves. But it is true they were sometimes hired as mercenaries since they were so good horsemen.

That turning radius is similar to the one on my 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme... which I call 'The Battlecruiser', if you could geuss why. but I'm not sure that is a bad thing. More relastic than suddenly reversing direction. I like it how it is.

The unit looks great, however, I am not one of the fans for this death anim, but if you also do a "normal" death, you would please more people. With two different deaths, this could also easily be two units, one mercenary (that retreat) and one (flavor) zulu cavalry that dies normally.

Yeah, but a horse is a bit more nimble than the Cutlass Supreme, especially when the rider is high tailing it out of there.

True Dat, Supes, True Dat.

So maybe the turn should be somewhat smaller

Except that if you put another ennemy unit in front of him, they will fight, and then the horse will run through the victor before turning and run away
