Dr.NES - The D.O.O.M. Project

"Depending on what kind of danger it might represent to us. If we can be sure that they are hostile, we should shoot first and ask questions later. In other case, we should not act rashly, because it could be either one of the scientists or someone who can shed light over the matter."

EDIT: OOC: I am going to hit the bunk, tomorrow I have to get up at 8 o'clock AM (GMT+1) to go to university. I'll see tomorrow what you have said regarding this matter.

"There's no reason for us not to take a look at the aftermath of whatever it is we're chasing, even if it's from afar like this. We might not learn any information we don't already know, but it can't hurt to look. It's also hard to tell who's hostile and who's not without being closer, but if someone's stupid enough to fire on us from the bank, let him have it. We have enough ammo on board this boat to top off our packs upon disembarking, right, Captain?"

Emmanuel Valentine

"We have enough ammunition here to take on the entire Brazilian Army.

. . .

Alright, that might have been an exaggeration, but you can certainly stock up on ammunition while I am still here. I have several extra clips for all your weapons available, as well as extensive medical resources. If your not dead, I can patch you back up."

Working on the history right now

Born 1978 in the city Tel Aviv, Israel, Rachel was the youngest of five children. Both her parents were respected members of the business community but also kept a strict adherence to the Jewish traditions. This strictness weighed hard on Rachel during her early years and eventually led to her estrangement from her family.

In school she scored top marks and excelled at sports but it wasn't until it came time for her to join the IDF that she found her calling. Rachel loved being a soldier; she loved the training, the camaraderie, but most of all she loved using guns. Despite her enthusasim she was never a great shooter, but she made up for it with her drive and determination. After training was complete she was shifted over to technical support. Rachel opted to remain in the military even after her term of service was up.

When war suddenly broke out in the summer of 2006 Rachel asked to be reassigned to combat duty. Her request was granted and she joined a unit that was stationed on the Lebanon border. She was involved in several fire fights with Hezzbollah fighters and was nearly killed when the humvee she was in rolled over an IED. Despite her near death experince, Rachel enjoyed being in combat.

After the war ended, Rachel decided she wanted to be where the fighting was and not just protecting a boarder. She left the IDF and Israel and ended up drifting around Europe for a year before she finally landed a spot with DOOM. She's been on multiple missions for the mercenery outfit and feels that this is where she belongs.

Rachel Goldsarb is 5'6" in height and keeps an athletic build. She isn't a beauty by any means but no one could call her ugly either.

She isn't the best shot in the world but can certainly make herself felt in a fire fight. She's fast on her feet and can get into and out of tight spaces quickly.

She has a great deal of experince with various technical systems and carries around a laptop with Satellite uplink.

OOC: A few things to note. In real life I am actually a guy, but I love to mix things up in my writing and I thought it would be funny to write the only woman in the whole unit.
Also I am not from Israel and have only the basic wiki knowledge of the country so any mistakes and errors made in this brief history of my character I sincerly apologize for.

Thanks for the background. I'll update the stats shortly.

And I agree with your statement, it is very interesting to mix things up, because it makes your writing more fun.

Rachel leaned against the railing and listened to the discussions of her fellow mercs without comment. She agreed with deploying at the mission but decided to let Ruben have his say without interuption. Too many chefs spoil the broth in her opinion.

She turned to look at Marcus with her eyebrow raised at his question about what to do about hostiles. "What do you think we should do? Bend over and let them pop us?" Rachel smirked in amusement. "Shoot back and keep shooting till they stop shooting. Perferably after they've stopped moving as well."

why do I keep getting double posts?!!! Please delete.

No Einstein! Let it kill you.

To continue my earlier sarcasm towards Marcus, "No you idiot, the natives don't just run around with guns..." Thomas rolls his eyes, "They will shrink your head instead."

I believe it was agreed upon that we would observe Village A as the boat cruises past and observe Village B on foot. But I could be wrong.

Terni slowly said after losing the converstion, "Perhaps it is a water based animal, perhaps not, I think we should head up that mountain to see of the other villages are still tending their fires, as I did seven months ago in North Kurdistan."

"After that, whenever it happens, we can see if they are still living their lives or hiding in fear... or dead..."

"Terni's right," said Niki. "I had not even considered that possibility, but if it is really a water-based animal, it would account to why the two villages that were attacked so far were near the water. Is there any information regarding the old Jesuit mission, Captain?"

When I woke up this morning, I realised that this situation was quite suspicious. Where is Lt. Ripley when you need her? Mayhaps Miss Golbfarb might fill in that role.

LMAO Maybe, but she certainly isn't coming back as an alien/human hybrid clone in some desperate attempt to resurrect a dead franchise :crazyeye:
