Dr.NES - The DOOM Project: The Sapphire of the Sea

You could try talking them through a forensic investigation, though your mileage may vary.

I assume, as operatives, they'll know what to look for. I just want to walk them through the more potentially medical parts of it, whether it's necessary or not.

Also, Do seal that room off to create a prison.

Lets check all downed hostiles for weapons asap from now on.

As you seal the room off, the passenger begins to panic. "Wait! Wait! Don't leave me in here!" he yells.

Lets check all downed hostiles for weapons asap from now on.

There's a large collection of AK-47's and their ammunition in Engineering, as well as some frag grenades.

I mean as a general rule, we should immediately search any hostile that we take down but do not kill, so we can avoid another suicide, and possibly gain some information.

Jarkko: My weapon used 7.62 rounds. I'd be happy if I could get a small cache of those in which to better defend the bridge.

Also, make sure to try and find out any way to turn on the engines. Check the fuel lines, generators, or whatever to make sure nothing has been sabotaged.

Anyone in the infirmary...find out who that injured crew member (the one from the bridge) is and what his job entails. He may know some vital information...I have a feeling he's the chief engineer.

To Captain: When we take engineering, which make take a few hours, how would we be able to turn these engines back on?

To Communications Officer: *points* YOU! *kicks over and pins him to the ground with his boot* Don't you lie to me! A distress call WAS made from this ship! I want some f**king answers, and I want them NOW!!

Alexandrov:

Assuming engineering is now safe, go talk to that spanish guy hiding in the corner and find out who he is, what is he doing here, what the hell is going on and anything else that might be useful. If he just keeps cowering and repeating what he's been saying, give him couple good slaps in the face to snap him out of it.

@ Ilya, could you check what they have recorded on the video camera?

@all, dead DEA agent and lots of spanish speaking hostiles kinda add up to drugs. Birch, once we get power up could you check if there are any passengers from Venezuela or Colombia?
Also Doc, do you have the capasity to test if the passengers have been drugged?

Ilya picks up the camera and playsback what it has recorded.

The fact that the guy killed himself suggests that his motivation was not money, but some great cause. People motivated by money usually go with the higghest bidder. I don't know about you, but for me my life if automatically the highest bid.

Ah, I understand. The heat of the moment prevented such an action before, but from now on you guys will take that measure.

Captain: "You haven't taken engineering yet? I heard gunfire... The men are still down there! We need to get out of here as soon as possible. That said, you have to get the turbines operational again. It should be handled by the control room in Engineering."

Comm Officer: "Okay, okay! Look, there was, was, a signal sent, just a small one. That, that signal was sent unintentionally. It was made before...before we could think about it. We panicked."

Alexandrov:

(translated into English for simplicity.)

You begin questioning him in Spanish. You ask what his name is and what he is doing here.

Instead of answering, though, he whimpers, "I'm not falling for your tricks, gilipollas. I know what you are doing."

Ilya picks up the camera and playsback what it has recorded.

The camera turns on, but then flashes a low battery signal before shutting off again.

Alexandrov:

I'm not dismissing the option of religious fanatics altogether, but we can't dismiss the dead DEA agent either. The opposition we faced here and their equipments suggest that these guys aren't the most "expensive" choice of mercenaries, which can either mean religious fanatics as you suggest, or some druglord's minions. Hierarchy in the drug markets is one based on fear, failing to do your master's bidding will quickly lead to the punishment of the minion in the form of torture, or slow, gruesome death. I'm rather sure that if you fail your mission in such environment, many would choose to end their life rather than wait for their master's punishment. Also, if the passenger's which Kincaid has met in the upper levels have been drugged, it would explain their apathetic demeanor.

In any case, we need to search the bodiers to see if we find anything. Ilya, could you try to find some power to that camera? Also, search the DEA agent thoroughly, and the surroundings. There might be something else that could give us more information about this whole thing.

Can anyone explaing why the hostiles seem to have been killing their own men? Are they trying to frame someone?

Alexandrov:

lift the man up and give him a one hard punch in the stomatch, and then let him fall on the floor.

"no-one calls me a d!ckhead. Guys, cover me."

Search the man. Do I have cable ties to tie his hands?

while searching, ask him:

"well, what are we doing here, then?"

He doesn't resist as you strike him. He falls to the ground and retreats further into the corner. You do, however, find material to bind his hands.

You find nothing of significance on the man. No wallet, identification, or anything of that sort. He has nothing except the clothes on his back and a clip of ammunition.

"well, what are we doing here, then?"

Is the "we" in that statement referring to the team of operatives, or to the hostiles? Is this a rhetorical sort of statement? Sorry, I just need clarification so as to best answer the question.

"we" refers to the operatives. I want to know what he thinks the operatives are here for.

Does Alexandrov have any chance to notice if the guy is on drugs or something? like looking at the pupils with flashlight etc?

Arnold:

I am going downstairs with Gabriel to you people. My experience in Spain may allow me to recognize who the man works for. I shall also handle the interrogation.

In this case I believe that less of an iron fist is needed.

Alexandrov:

"You are free to do the interrogation. I was merely teaching him some manners."

He has significant bags under his eyes, but his pupils are not dilated. From what you can tell, he's not "high".

When you ask him why you are here, he responds, "Cease your rhetoric, I know why you are here. You killed everyone else. I am the last one. There is no one left to trick."

Arnold: And may I also see that camera? I want to ask the man some questions about it personally.

It's going to take you some time to get down to Engineering.

Ilya:

See if the bateries from the small flashlights we all have match those in the camera. If not, try those in the nightvision goggles. If they match watch the video and then replace the bateries in the goggles. Otherwise, the people searching the quarters might have better luck finding matching bateries.

Roger:
Worse case, you might bring the camera up here to the Infirmary and I'll get my remote cam from deck 5 and see if the batteries match up. Otherwise we might could jury-rig something up to get power to it.

@The guy that freaked out in the Infirmary: Hey man, don't worry. I'll be here to keep you company. Someone tries to get through that door without our consent, they'll be looking like that big blood splotch over there.
