Dr.NES - The DOOM Project: The Sapphire of the Sea

@Dreadnaught: Is it possible for me to get a (private if need be) description of what is happening to Birch?

PM being concocted as we speak. I'm hashing out some micro details.

@Hivemind dude: Alright, that was kinda freaky. But you're right, this isn't a negotiation. We've got control of this boat, I've got the gun pointed at your head, and how do I not know Birch ain't just winded somewhere? Whatever, you drugged up a$$hole. Now let McCoy get a blood sample. Don't worry, it won't hurt nearly as bad as what could be happening to you right now.

I may respond to this in a little while; I'm debating how to address this. No worries; just doing some internal thought process.

These nutjobs want nothing more than to hit dry land. Obviously, whatever turned these tourists into slobbering autobots can spread their crazy, and want to, bad. That's why we gotta prep to scuttle the ship. I sure as hell don't wanna let this sh!t loose on the mainland.
So far we've seen some abnormally strong people doing crazy sh!t. Woop dee do. Our job isn't to speculate as to what's going on with these nutjobs. Let's just tie them up, get home, and get paid. The Corporation wants it, I want it, and the less time we have to spend on the boat, the less time we risk getting ourselves or someone else killed.

Agreed. We should chart a course to the designated port immediately.

The man responds to you. "You poor, insignificant fool. Your control of this vessel is an illusion. Does everyone in your team feel the urge to throw their lives away, much like you do? I'm sure you'll soon receive the evidence you need to know that Birch is in our custody. Alive. I was unaware you throw each other's lives away so irrationally."

He smirks before continuing. "In fact, that makes our action all the easier."

@infected: We can be reasonable. There doesn't Have to be too much violence. Why are you not willing to negotiate? to speak with us? to tell us what you want?

"Negotiate? From a position of strength? The only negotiation we are willing to hear is of your surrender."

"You've heard our terms."

@infected: Have we? are you willing to repeat them?

Edit: OOps, do they just want the ship in port?

"That's cute." *turns back to McCoy* "McCoy, find me a nice little closet for this comedian. He can have a nice little think-over while we ride back home. A box or something would work just as good."

Answer me one question then, if you please. What do you intend to do after you reach harbor? If that is too much to ask, then what do you intend to do with the ship?

"After the ship is in port, we will disembark from the ship and go our separate ways. If you comply with our request, then you will too."

@Team: That WOULD fullfill our contract, would it not? As long as they can promise to give us Birch back, I don't see why we shouldn't accept that.

"After the ship is in port, we will disembark from the ship and go our separate ways. If you comply with our request, then you will too."

Surprisingly a good deal. I would accept it.

Why couldn't they have done that on their own? It'd have been much faster and stealthier to do so then wait for a rescue.

F#ckin' MERCs. Not a single one-a you wants to know what happened here? No one thinks something's pretty danm f#cked up about this whole excursion? You all just want your money, no questions asked?

F#ck that. We head to port, I'm scuttling the ship. Let's at least see what's on the camera before we make any rash decisions.

Rash decisions? You want to blow up this damn boat on little more than a hunch. Get your sh!t together and calm down. Go ahead and look what's on the camera. But we ain't here to play superhero or mad scientist. We're here to bring back the boat.

Birch over Radio: "Fellow squadmates, I am injured but still alive. Also it is true that I am being held captive by this mysterious group of crazy people. They are letting me use my radio, but a few them are watching me, so in my condition I don't stand much of a chance getting anywhere on my own. The mission is still the top priority, but none the less I would be quite grateful if someone could get me out of this hell hole."

Probably because there still were some guys down there with guns that shot them.

We just killed said guys, so...yeah.
