Dragon Age.

Im having mad trouble with that bloody sloth demon thing, I think at around about from 9000 he finally shanked my last guy? And the worst part is I didn't even want to do this crap, I was just trying to help out a possessed little boy the clean way and end up getting dragged into helping these tard wizards retake there playhouse.

fixing the Circle of Mages is one of the 3 main quests to get help for the war anyway...

I did that one before I went to Redcliffe.

ALSO, during the 'Broken Circle' quest that you don't want to do, all your basic Attributes will get a free permanent boost... if you find all of the bonuses, by the end you will get like +6 cunning, +5 willpower... etcetera. oh yeah, don't go fight the demon until you have cleared out all the different corners of the Fade.. for all the bonuses.

in terms of beating the Sloth Boss, for me it helped a lot to use the Golem Form. pretty sure that Boss casts a lot of Earth spells. if you change to Golem form, you should be immune.. can help you to keep punching and interrupt his spells while your party recovers.

Ya I got all the increases, but I think they might be class specific because I got like +5 to strength and +6 to dexterity(Im playing as a human warrior). Its not that I didnt want to do the tower thing, its just that I was doing something completely different and then got dragged into saving these guys ass to in the process. Although flying solo was pretty fun.

If you have +5 strength and +6 dexterety they are probably class specific.
I have written down all the bonuses I got with my rogue and it was +4 strength, +4 dexterety +4 willpower +2 magic +5 cunning and +2 constitution. Just for this it's worth going to the tower as soon as possible.
I actually liked being dragged into something I didn't plan, made the game seem more alive than simply completing the checklist step by step (which is something I don't really like about Bioware games since KotOR). But with some main quests being about half as long whole main Mass Effect questline I can understand how people just want to get over with the tower and the fight against the Sloth Demon is one of the hardest in the game.

I'm trying to beat one of the remnants in the Dalish forest, when you disturb the tombstone placed at the foot of a hill. Any tips on that? My party is mage/Alistair/Morrigan/Leliana.

What are your levels and talents ? Problem with Morrigan is that I most use her cold spells and Revenants are immune to cold, nature and I think spirit damage which also makes mages' basic attacks useless.
Use vulnerability hex and attack him with lightning and fire spells, soinefist also works because it deals physical damage. Have Alastair use taunt or threaten to distract him from the rest of your party, use your cold spells on the skeletons and kill them with your mages asap.
You might also consider replacing Morrigan with Zevran to backstab the revenant while he attacks Alistair.

I got cunning bonuses as a warrior, so I don't think all is class specific.

Did you get 5 cunning bonuses ? I have the feeling that you can get bonuses to all statis but some get more depending on on your class. I'll check it next time I play as warrior or mage.

I'm pretty sure the stats are set, no matter what kind of character you roll.

here are the bonuses according to a GameFAQs walkthrough:

PERMANENT STAT INCREASES

You can increase your stats permanently by finding the 21 different items that
do so. Below is the total number of stat increases for each stat:

Cunning - 5
Strength - 4
Willpower - 4
Dexterity - 4
Constitution - 2
Magic - 2

Use/Get Misdirection Hex, i found it by far the most useful spell to defeat strong non-mage opponents

Any strategies for the final fight at the Anvil? I'm getting overwhelmed by the number of enemies there are.

On whose side are you fighting and do you have a good healer/reviver?

Also, when in camp prior to this, isnt the stuff you put in the allies box supposed to help with this?

I guess most of you are playing on PC. I had a question about the PC version. do you have a storage box somewhere that you can leave extra stuff?

on the Xbox 360, the base camp doesn't even have a chest or something to store equipment you want to save... it's RIDICULOUS! what kind of frackin RPG doesn't have a place to store stuff!?!?
if I find a good weapon I want to save until ppl level up, I just have to carry it around with me.. and the backpacks are so damn expensive.

There's one in WK.

But I don't see why there should necessarily be one. Doesn't really make much sense for some random chest to be lying around that keeps all your stuff with no risk of someone stealing it.

Hell, you get a stupidly large inventory anyway in DA, so it's hardly needed.

also, how can it not make sense? they have a camp... the camp has tents, and boxes, and even a wagon.. and it also has people that never leave there, like the liasons for the different armies. actually, it makes no sense that there isn't storage place at camp.

but the camp location blows anyway. what a boring boring boring dull dull dull location. wow, a fire, some fake tents, a pool of water, and people standing around doing nothing... just a lazy and dull location, and like I said earlier, it was probably farmed out to some cheap, B-level graphics house in Korea, like most of the other locations seem to be as well.

No, no, not the final fight of the game; the final fight of the Ozrimmar quest.

Yes, my mage is a good healer. I'm fighting on Caridin's side, and my party is Oghren/Morrigan/Leliana. My problem is that the allied golems get overwhelmed too quickly and then I'm facing seven enemies at the same time.

final fight of the ozrimmar quest? you sure about that?

other than that.... dunno, had 2 chars down pretty fast in the first stage of the archdemon fight, Wynne and myself, and from then on it was pretty easy. which part exactly do you have problems with?

My.God. Flemeth. Hardest fight in the game. I spent at least two hours reloading and fighting her over and over again.

^so many people said that.. I got her on my third try! =) on Hard difficulty, Xbox, at level 13.

I used a character building FAQ at GameFaqs (spoiler free) when I started the game (after my first character kinda sucked and I realized Mage was the way to go), so I've had a leg-up in the game knowing beforehand what kind of party works really well.

my Mage has Blizzard and Inferno, Forcefield, Crushing Prison, Heal of course -- Wynne has Earthquake & Heals, Petrify.. so I took Sten and Leliana

the key to this battle is having everyone 'hold position', then run your warrior in close, and position everyone else far away from each other near the buildings... it takes some time to do this in these battles, and moving everyone yourself can make you die fast sometimes. but in the long run getting everyone spread out is what will win these battles. I had to cast Blizzard and Inferno on her 3 times, and when she does her special move, and picks up the warrior in her mouth, you gotta have forcefield ready for your tank.

without 2 mages with heal in every battle on Hard.. .there's just no way! the game is definitely tough. the best party is 3 mages and a tank, with 3 Force Fields.. even with 2 force fields you can control the fight really well... 3 forcefields and you can dominate anybody.

also, Leliana's poison grenades do a LOT of nature damage on Flemeth, so I would run up quick w/ Leliana and toss a couple, then run back

hmmm, three mages... that would actually be something to consider. the no-this-don't-cost-no-lirium-potion dps of my rogue is, I believe, what got me through nightmare mode on PC. without any funky business on the second playthrough other than "oh, I know there is a trap there and some enemies, just let me get in there first and disarm them" which is something you would get on your first run as well if you were really careful.
