Dragon Quest - Slime (6/10/08)

Another in my collection of videogame characters. And probably my strangest one so far. This is the Slime from the Dragon Quest rpg series (Dragon Warrior when it was 1st released in the US).

I gave it a few basic animations so that it wasn't completly motionless, but nothing much. It supports team colors through the alpha channel, though it doesn't have any at the moment because I thought it would look weird on an animal. The model has 224 triangles.

Also, I included a few skins based on the Dragon Quest games.

It reminds me of this blobby animal that someone made for Civ III recently.

Actually I think they might be based on the same thing.

Thanks guys! This was a fun unit to add to my Civ game, after fighting so many of those slimes in the Dragon Quest games over the years.
