Drtad's First Peoples Mod: Includes Sumer, Babylon, Urartu, and many more!

In the future I'll also probably make the Anasazi and other ancient American people and I will have an Earth map with correct starting locations. I don't want this to become more than just the addition of new civilizations yet, but in the future I just might ressurect Thamis' Fertile Crescent mod.
As a future goal that would be great! Generally us TAMsters have an aversion to playing Civ beyond 600 AD.

First Peoples Mod is compatible with the new Warlords patch (right now)! New version 0.4 will be up soon, adding Phrygians, Thracians, and Lydians. Also there will be at least one map with correct starting locations which includes Thrace, Phrygia, Lydia, Armenia, Urartu, The Hittites and Kolchis.

I have finished the next version of the mod, cleaned up a TAM Fertile Crescent map, placed the first cities and I should have the next version uploaded way later today. The scenario has Nubia, Egypt, Babylon, Akkad, Sumer, Assyria, Armenia, Urartu, Thrace, Phrygia, Lydia, Hatti, Kolchis, and Persia. I hope I placed the cities correctly. Note: map is probably very unbalanced now with the Thracians cut off from settling Asia minor until they get boats, so I am thinking Thracians may need a boost for a later version.

This is great. You have been quite the busy beaver. Will upload it the first chance I get. Am currently doing a lot of work for the Total Realism Mod. Thanks for your efforts back over at TAM. :goodjob:

sounds very promising. how many cities is each civ gonna start out with?
One, just the capitals, so you have to build your nation from 4000BC.
Will upload it the first chance I get.
Tommorow for sure. Today did not work out, too much real life work to finish.

I hear ya; I do a lot of my work and gaming in between patients....but never while they are there, lol. :p There is not enough time in a day. ;)

I suppose I could add Bimbisara as a third leader of India, found a good leaderhead picture:king: . I still don't see how Magadha could qualify as being a separate civilization of India.

I'm putting together a Vedic Empire, separate from India. The leader will not be Bimbisara, but his son.

I decided to add ancient empires for India, China and Japan, because I don't think one empire does justice to the breadth and depth of the region.

Sorry, I had some more stuff to do today. My Internet is kinda downm so tommorow hopefully if I can muster the skills to fix my buggy modem.

I hit my modem and its working now, 0.4 will be released within the hour. Here are the changes I can remember.

Fixed diplomacy and first contact for most leaders
Added Middle Eastern cities by Chameadrys
Added Olmec Head by charly1977
Added Urartian Charioteer graphic
Added Thrace under King Teres
Added Phrygia under King Midas
Added Lydia under Kroisos
Added Large Fertile Crescent map by Dionysius adopted from TAM correct starting locations, bad resource placement, and horribly unbalanced gameplay, any help on the map would be appreciated.

0.4 is released! I was also able to squash that Formation Infos bug.

What problems are you having with the resource placement?

I don't know where some resources should go. So if something seems out of place or overpowered or in too much abundance in one area while sparse in another, my bad.;)I'll release the map shortly.

Okay when you do, I will fire up my old Civ3 version of Fertile Crescent and will try to cross check as much as possible to help out. No rush on the map. :)

Map released! Link on the first page. Thanks Akhenaton.

Thank you rapiduser, I'll add the rapidshare link to the first post a bit later.

My next civ project is going to be Drtad's Pack of Medieval Civs, featuring civs from medieval times such as (you guessed it;) ) Armenia, Byzantine Empire, Venice, Genoa, Pisa, Papal States, Hanseatic League, Scotland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Karaman, Seljuks, Tatars, Maybe Crusader States, etc., etc.

EDIT: That doesn't mean I'm abandoning this project.
