Duel (and Dual too) NESing

An even Superpower war you two might enjoy would be Trajan's campain against Partha. Quite an even match statistically and a lot of fun if you love superpower-esque warfare

No, it isn't. Trajan's campaign was an opportunistic attack that was virtually unopposed because the Pahlavan were in civil war at the time.

And he still lost all the land he gained in the end. Oh well some people just stroke out at the most inopportune times. Or was it an earthquake? I can't remember.

He made a rookie mistake and left the city of Hatra standing in his rear, resisting him, so he went to finish it off after he got to the Persian Gulf and died during the siege. Meanwhile the Pahlavan finished their civil war and got their crap together, so Hadrian, Trajan's successor, decided to R-U-N-N-O-F-T.

If you want a good, successful, solid campaign between Rome and the Pahlavan, look at Septimius Severus'. If you want a good, successful, solid, epic, yet stacked and totally unsuitable for play in this dual thing campaign between Rome and the Sassanians, pick the war of 602-628, aka the Last Persian War.

Anyway, I wanted to play barbaric powers fighting Rome- that doesn't count Parthia or Sassania as far as I know.
