Warsaw is a rather weird city. I didn't really enjoy it as a visitor. The problem wasn't really skyscrapers, but the feeling it was so sparsely built.

Anyway, to get back to the topic of this thread. It's true that Central Europe is a meaningful concept to me. When I think about Czech Republic, Hungary or Austria, I think those are in Central Europe.

Historical Atlas, 1911:

It's pretty clear what contemporary historians called Central Europe...

Indeed: Swedish Pomerania, Mecklemburg, Westphalia, Saxony, Baden, Württemberg, Bavaria (and more small German states).

All other states, like Prussia and Bohemia, aren't fully colored, but just have their borders outlined - see France, Russia and the visible portion of Britain. This map says: Prague (and Vienna, Breslavia, Berlin...) is not in Central Europe.

You should see that fully coloured are small states, not these ones supposed to be as central europe(watch Neuchatel in Switzerland or Republic of Danzig in Poland) in your theory. Map would be much smaller if only show Germany and Prussia.

No western, any other questions smart-arse or do you just like spamming

So that means Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Hungary and Austria are western European to.

Either way, we're western or central. Not eastern.

Indeed. Germany didn't exist in 1812. they were a couple of small independent states falling to Prussia iirc.

I'll still call it Eastern Europe - Eastern Europe and Western Europe - Western Europe.
The Geometry and geopolitical terrain is hard to distinguish a Central Europe

No they are Eastern European. (except Austria)

Fine then.

Ireland is British then.
Scotland is English
Finland is Scandinavian
New Zealand is Australian
Canada is American
Turkey is Middle Eastern
Mexico is Central American

I don't see how the above is any different from central europe-Eastern Europe.

 Oh come on. British is a nationality, so is Australian and American.

How is British a Nationality? Same goes with Australian and American.

I thought English was a nationality, not british.

America is populated by european settlers and immigrants from England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Swedish, Polish and Italy.

Australia is populated by english settlers and immigrants from various european and asian countries.

I don't understand the purpose of the list?

Most of those are correct.

Do you understand the difference between ethnicity and nationality?

Eh, I'll call it East European because it's not PC. And as we all know, being anti-PC is awesome.

Neuchatel and Danzig are fully colored because... they were too small to leave some white on the scale of the map without unjustifiably thinning their border.

Otherwise, why would Bavaria be colored, and Bohemia not?
