Editting the Red Syndicate

Firstly, appologies if this is the wrong place.
I've been doing a few small edits to the BtS Final Fronteir mod, to try to increase the role of trade; I added a bonus trade route to simple economy and to the techs domestic developement and commerce theory. Unfortunitly, these made the Red Syndicate even more powerful, as they get +1 :traderoute: initially, and +1 :food:, +1 :hammers: per trade route.

The Question
Does anyone know how I could remove their +1 :traderoute:? I couldn't find it in the xml, thouh I am new to this.
