Eldorado - The conquest of a new World

Why don't you post the .biq for single player games? .biq files are small enough to upload here. And posting save files is a lot clumsier than just downloading the .biq and selecting the side one
wishes to play.

I need no biq to play. I just downloaded the save games and main files and they play fine.

The only thing that bugs me is the difficulty level. Emperor is not suitable to all players, you know. ;)

Oh, and that Civilopedia too. :p

Why don't you post the .biq for single player games?
because as i explained in post #1 this scenario has special units that AI doesn't know how to handle. So there's many biq in fact (with different rules) for pbem games, and one for each nation. That's why i prefer doing save files for solo game. Plus in this mod the exploration/discovery phase is very important and with save files you can't see the map before playing

too easy or too hard?

It's probably a problem with the link you posted.
hmmm it works for me  Others have this problem?

Raising the top is a good way to progress...

Obviously it's your scenario and you can do as you please, but I would point out that using save files does nothing to prevent someone who really wants to from seeing the map, as there are save file editors which will turn off the fog of war. The part about special units makes no sense to me; if they're in the .biq, they'll be in the save file, and just as unusable by the AI.

too easy or too hard?

Doesn't really matter. People who like to play Diety or Sid are just as much S.O.L. as those who prefer Chieftain or Warrior.

sure, I know that there are cheaters but the majority of players are honest. (i hope)

no i used special biqs with different rules for each nation for creating the save files

I'll just wait before downloading until the bugs, glitches etc are fixed.... in 4 months..... or years

many games have already been played and one is never sure of anything but it should not be any bugs

general-jcl
Great scenarios! Immediately visible to a lot of work!
But how to download it? Broken links, jdownloader, too. How to download?

Checked. On "rapidshare" wrote:''Unfortunately right now our servers are overloaded and we have no more download slots left for non-members. Of course you can also try again later.''And on''jdownloader'':''You've followed a link to a topic that doesn't exist yet. If permissions allow, you may create it by using the Create this page button.''

You would not be able to indicate a direct link?

no sorry

''You've followed a link to a topic that doesn't exist yet. If permissions allow, you may create it by using the Create this page button.''
strange message with jdownloader. Is it always the same with all rapidshare links?

Last solution: you can suscribe a premium account less than 7€ for a month

general-jcl Yes always. For me too many 7 € for a single file.

Arexander In the four parts of the rar formats, and of course biq!:)

You can download many other things on rapidshare for the period of one month

I know. I easily download many files through our torrent than a paid rapidshare.

I understand your reluctance not to give direct links. Could you give more effective guidance to download your mod?

Downloading with JDownloader
  1. Click any link provided in this thread's first post.
  2. Copy the text under "File Download" (e.g. when downloading Part 1: http://rapidshare.com/files/328491039/Eldorado3.part1.rar)
  3. Open JDownloader (if it's already open, it pops up)
  4. Right click the file and select "Continue with selected link(s) (1)"
  5. Watch as JDownloader automatically connects to server and downloads the file.

NOTE: It might take a while for the download to start because RapidShare is crowded from downloaders and you have to wait for it to get some room. But you don't have to keep an eye on JDownloader. It retries automatically after 2 minutes.

I hope this helps someone as it took a while from me too before I understood this. :)
