The army was growing restless. The combined Mongolian and Chinese forces were so close to Pyongyang that some could see it when standing on high hills. They were all waiting for the scout to come back with the Korean response. A few hours later he came back. He galloped to the generals in the front looking very happy.
"They refused! The Imperial Army and the Horde will ride tonight"
Cheering filled the air as soldiers raised their arms and swords at the prospect of battle. Stockpiles of weapons behind them lay ruined, stopping any chance of a civilian revolt. Near the Korean border, a river of blood was pouring into the Yellow Sea, as hundreds of dead Korean soldiers became food for the crows. There would be no mercy, there would be no defeat. The days of an independent Korea were growing to a close. The generals shouted to the officers who began organizing the immense army for the attack. Finally everyone was ready and facing the generals at the front. General Tang and the Mongolian commander faced Pyongyang. Then they raised their swords and charged toward the city ahead. Behind them, thousands upon thousands of soldiers roared after them.
