ENES: World of Magic II

It's Arkenaar, not Aarenkar. There will be no formal treaty just yet, only open ports and means to resupply/repair in Arkenaaran harbors. (The reason being I've already sent orders and spent all my eco )

Also, we have charted the currents of the sea around our continent, and we have found a strong one that flows directly from Arkenaar to Lahmia. It seems nature itself is in support of our trade union! :D

Casualties in update order:
Leonhard losses: 318 infantry, 130 Wurm Riders, 7 Darkmages
Church losses: 427 infantry, 174 Wurm Riders, 9 Bishops, 10 Holy Knights

Nekros:
-1 Lerkal, -312 Lerkal warriors, 3517 now off in the North Sea.
-1000 sacrificed at Bersepolis, -67 lost in the attack, +5000 undead raised, and -6104 corpses rotted away.
Khorshad took no losses, +1000 raised, now moving with 6000 undead.

Telvanni Rebels -500 infantry, -2000 militia (stomped by the Romans), +3000 militia (volunteers)
Rome -3 Legionnaires, -1326 infantry

+1 Novoria as a new nation

And Sheep, you really need to fill out those stats. It's nice that you trust me to fill them out for you, but I don't have a clue what your capital is called or what your UU is.

Oh joy. Off to my first field week. Will be completely cut away from real life until the weekend. Looking forward to the update, Erik!

Must have missed that. Will fix it once I have time, which I don't have right now. Sorry.

Anything else I missed?

Get your [censored] juggernaut ships away from us.

Our bad, sorry sorry. we will move on and continue our peacfull Exploration. still, we would Like to Open Peacfull relations of Trade and teaching between us, will you aggre with this offer from the mighty Zuse?

OOC: no probmen, just pointing it out almost forgot it myself! take your time, and order in soon. oh, and I'm offering a trade route to them.
also, what did you think of the light blue?

Light blue is fine. Bonuses have been sneaked into your stats.

Zhiki will be happy to open a trade route. (2 eco points.)

Also, something I came up with: (original source)

Although there should really be far more of the lower ranks. :p

Based off what intelligence I have been able to gather from my scouts, general rumors, and sympathetic citizens, what's a rough idea of where the Roman's have their troops stationed and how many are stationed there?

Also, I think I should have 40 Illusionists (Started with 10 + 20 from eco spending last turn + 10 from story bonus – 0 from casualties = 40)

Roman troops are mostly stationed along the border, purging whatever Telvanese look the wrong way at them. Further east, there's a sort of (Frightened) Citizien's Militia which pretends to act as a local army for the inner provinces, but mostly waves pitchforks and calls in the real army. The army is stationed in clusters of 50 to 500 men, all of which have horses and messengers at the ready, not to mention catapults for firing on possibly illusionary forces. Since they've lost hope in peaceful methods, they're more than willing to use extreme force with very little provocation. Also, the Emperor has taken to having himself and his bodyguards ritually scarred in, ahem, private places, to prevent impersonation. Back to the army, they've left quite a lot of holes along the border; this is a defense against riots, not against invasion. The troops clusters move every week or two and put down rebellions. You could smash through between them or through any one cluster, but there's not much point, as the result would be being in Roman territory with lots of troops being called down on your head.

so i'm trying to decide if i should just start writing this turn's story/orders or if i should wait for the stats to be updated.
now that i actualy look at the stats, it seems like they're updated, but your "todo list" still has "stats" as not done... /me

Woops. I forgot to post a new to-do list. The ones I had applied to the time I posted them.

Everything should be updated now! You can begin sending orders, like a few people have done already.

Explain yourself, please. You appear to be violating the border treaty drawn up by our previous leaders. If you persist, we will be forced to take action.
Reply From Roddyna
The original intent of that agreement was to prevent needless fighting between our nations while we both expanded our borders and protection to the nonaligned populace of our continent. The fewer "unprotected" people there are on the continent, the less danger there is of the fears of those people manifesting into something dangerous. We have no intention of leaving any village, town or city unprotected just because you consider it your territory while not actualy offering them any protection. The expansion of your protected territory is too slow and we are compensating for your lack of strength.

Roddyna Orders
1 eco on Economy
1 eco on Army Training
1 eco on "Mass Levi I" Tech
for the last eco point, If i can do both techs at once , then:
1 eco on "Mass Levi II" tech
if not then:
1 eco on Science

Army orders, prety much same as last turn... keep guarding/watching the border, and expanding into the unlaimed lands.
Are there Heroic age techs? if not then what are the advantages of being in a higher age? will it help in war? does it make population grow faster (ie better houses and so on)?

Story will be later... gotta figure out who/what to write about.

Back. I've slept less than/about 20 hours this week. Currently recuperating, but mildly annoyed by the lack of an update. Ah, well.

Erik, I need to speak to you before I do those stats, I am lost.

Uuh, the update should be here already. I guess you can send orders for next turn, or it will be delayed even more.

The update "should" be here already if only people "should" have sent orders. :p

(take a look at the first page, still missing a bunch)

Sheep, I'll try to be on AIM a while, but PM is preferable as my computer access is a little limited wrt. Internet these days. (If you have any tips on using remote access like ssh, I'd be interested.) Worst case, just send me a bunch of stats and we can always retcon it later.

Roddy, yes there are Heroic Age techs.

Drat! I was hoping for an update before I left for La Camp du Boot again. Oh well, I guess you will have to send PM reminders to all those who have yet to send orders, Erik. ;)
