NESers SUCK! (ye, its a flame, so sue me)
way to many of you have absolutely no ability to commit to something for any length of time whatsoever.
i dont mean to pick on you cleric, but what the hell is "lack of interest"? where did this "interest" that you are now lacking come from when you first joined the game? how about when you rejoined, did you not lack it then? do you walk around during the day just losing this "interest"? go to your local bank, give them $10 and they'll give you some interest.
that's like the worst excuse ever for quiting anything, especialy where other people are involved.
why dont you quiters say it like it is, and take the shame that goes with it "i quit cause i'm a lazy cry baby unable to follow through on any of my commitmets. i couldnt give a crap if i ruin a game that you actualy enjoy, because... well cause i dont care what you think of me."
/end rant (man i'm ranting a lot today)

The explorer (see post
128 for first part of Yuri's story.
Yuri had never been this excited about aproaching a town. For many years his job expanding Roddyna's borders had been a very repetetive one... enter a town, make sure its not hostile, talk to the leaders/elder/mayor, convince them to join Roddyna officialy. There had been some interesting towns but he had seen so many "new" towns that he now quickly grouped them into predefined categories and followed an established routine for that type of town.
This time was different... They were in what "officialy" not lands Roddyna was not supposed to expand into. The old agreement with Furey's had specified this lands as "belonging" to Furey's. But Furey's Domain had expanded its official borders much slower then Roddyna, and they had yet to reach this distant coast town. Yuri was very interested to find out if the town's people knew that the two great nations of the continent had long ago decided who this town belonged to, and that agreement was now being broken.
Would Yuri go down in history as the man who started a great war, or would Furey's not even learn of his actions untill after the war starts?
As always, Yuri aproached the town alone, he didnt like spooking the future populace of Roddyna by showing up with his soldiers. He could always call them Telepathicaly if he needed their aid, and the Lizard Riders would need less then a couple minutes to reach him from their hiding place in teh nearby woods.
As Yuri entered the town, he was surprised while few people paid him any attention, those that did, when he "looked" at their minds, felt anxiety towards him. Usualy townspeople had one of two reactions, either they ignored him cause a visitor to the town wasnt a rarity, or they all noticed him. The type for "some people noticing a visitor" was rare at best, and in every one of those cases, those that noticed him were working for the "government" of the town, and either feared a newcomer who might unbalance a shaky rule or had a "defencive" attitude of one protecting his territory.
Yuri asked the first person to openly show interest in him where he might find the ruling body of the town. The man pointed to the roof of a large manor further down the road, but at the same time shook his head and Yuri didnt need telepathy to read "do not go there" in the man's eyes.
This was so strange that Yuri send mental word to Captian George "be ready, I suspect I may not leave this town without a fight. Dont move closer yet though. Will keep you informed." Over this distance it wasnt worth straining to get George's answer, especialy since Yuri was certain it would be "yes sir".
ooc: sorry, got tired/distracted... will finish later...
