uh... I can't get in. When I click on the chat it just says "pick a username" and has a link to the chat host website. Nothing like the screenie in the OP.

Most of the people in erebus who actually play are european, so it might be a timeframe issue. Quite a few of the others are modders who don't actually play very much (guilty)

IRC is about staying. It's a waiting game really, but you have to be active too. I see people log in, chat desperately for 1-3 minutes eventually shouting "ANYONE HERE!!!1!" or something similar. Then they leave. By the time I actually see this, it's too late for me to answer much of the time. Then this person believes that it's always dead silent in the chat, but he just missed the 2 hour conversation about [INSERT TOPIC HERE].

Aye, sometimes I don't window my civ and I only check back on IRC once in a while, and by then often whoever pops in expecting a lively 24/7 FfH discussion would have left again =P
After staying round for a bit you'd roughly recognize which of us are regular MP players and you could just ask us if we are interested in a game XD

or... you could just download and use one of the irc clients out there to enter the chatroom.

Annoying as hell. Also, I tried downloading chatzilla to get around.. btu I have no idea how to use IRC.

ah, that's for join room, which normally should pop up. if it doesn't, just type "/list" and then double click on erebus or you can click on the thingy up above for "join room" and then type in erebus.
You're still alive. Nice.
It seems as if the room has lost guardian again. When you have some spare moments you *might* be able to bring it back. If the room is still registered as yours. But I might be wrong there.
