since Philip I returned to claim the throne his father abbandoned to go on pilgrimage in Jerusalem many old tradition had changed
one of these tradition was the yearly gathering of nobles to report and discuss what the Empire progress was and make plans for the oncoming years.
Usually this gathering would be a great feast in the King Great Hall , with wine and ale flowing like rivers and enough to eat to sattisfy a small town , but since Philip I returned he abolished this "old Barbaric feast" and ordered that only water would be served during the meeting so that All the Brilliant minds at the gathering would function in a proper and civilized manner.

Duke Bruscal: "My Liege our paladins raced throug the Po valley as fast as they could and have laid siege to both Bologna and Venezia , we met some resistance on the way but they were utterly slaughtered by our Elite Paladins"
King Philip I:" Very well , good job duke Bruscal , now duke Durine is absent becouse his castle is under siege , he sent this report with his messager pidgeons"
"My Liege thing fare not very well on the island , the Barbarians as smarter than anticipated , they fell for our traps only a few times , after that they just disingaged our forces before our trap could spring , i decided it was best to retreat in our Castle and wait for them to come and get impaled by our arrows and pikes , we need reinforcements if we are to free the isle from the invaders , right now i can only hold our castle and hope they are dumb enough to attack. -Duke Durine"
