If there was nothing before the beginning, how could god exist!
Simple:
All of the gods came into existance a few seconds after the universe began, rather than the week before as they so often claim. ;)

Then how did the universe get crated? See why I'm an atheist (well, ok, I was brought up an atheist, beside,s I'm too lazy to get out of bed before 11am little alone go to church for a boring hour or whatever.

That's a Joke up there, I paraphrased Douglas Adams.

This is H&J, a place to kick back and have fun, save the serious discussion for OT.

Which means that both the Gods and the Christians have a lot of explanation to do. But don't forget that the creation of the universe was in wide circles viewed as a bad move... ;)

I myself have a hard time believing this universe is the best that omniscience and omnipotence could accomplish in 6,000 years (or 15 billion years if you're one of those Christians who doesn't believe part of the Bible).

I must have missed the part where it said "and the Lors spoke to the people, "I created the earth exactly 4024 years, 3 monthes 7 hours and 8 minutes before the birth of Jesus" could you please point that part out for me?
