Nimek doesn't seem to like having "addon" buildings.

My apologize. I didnt want to be offensive. Sorry. I am asking because adding new tags will be more clear for players. They will have one building instead or 3 or 4 and after mouse over building icon everything will be clear in description. Now description dosent say that something will autobuild after i will build something.

My apologize once more. I am only simple player.

God please this. I desperately want more buildings to be obsoleted by newer ones in the prehistoric. I hate building all those 1 turn buildings in new cities after tribalism. Also it would be nice to see berry bushes, wild mushrooms, and nut cracking stone into a Forest Garden or something.

What would be better is if we got the free to new cities at tech defined so that when you get a new city you also get the basic stuff for your tech level. I reckon that ant the balanced era start should be our priority for v30 as it would make players lives so much easier.

Dried meat and fish maker could require drying frame or smokehouse.

I agree that should be a main focus.

Thank you

What you think about:

1 Adding one Smelter building and set it as required for smelters metals types buildings and make them autobuildable.

2 Adding Forge or Foundry as required for smiths metals types buildings and make them autobuildable. Note that in reality smiths can produce the same things that forge and foundry does.

1. Many would not like this because of the :yuck: and high flammability. Just because you can make a smelter doesn't mean you should (or want to).

2. Same as above and the reason the other require a Forge or Foundry is because of just that. The Ironsmith is focused skills and equipments for iron forging. In short that's why they require the Forge or Foundry in the first place.

I added the folloing to the SVN ...

- National Aluminum Smelter
- National Copper Smelter
- National Gold Smelter
- National Iron Smelter
- National Lead Smelter
- National Platinum Smelter
- National Silver Smelter
- National Tin Smelter
- National Titanium Smelter

So now you can work around the vicinity problem.

So there are a few wonders that give "No  in this City". Unless someone changed it this also ments that the pseudo-Buildings like Crime and Pests that give  are basically canceled out. I am thinking that this should be removed and replaced with just a large amount of :) in that city. What do you guys think?

Here is a list of the wonders I found with this ...

- Ark of the Covenant
- Disneyland
- Globe Theater
- Theater of Dionysus

Because basically "No  in this City" means infinity :). Which is a bit over powered.

I actually go directly for those buildings. And its not infinity, its just till whichever building it gave it from goes obsolete. (I believe). Again think gameplay not RL. But your the "building" expert, i will go along with whichever you choose.;)

Yeah, honestly as much as I love the effect as a player, it IS a bit gimpy. I

doubt the citizens of Anaheim would be incapable of a riot... Surely Rodney King would disagree with the concept... lol.

The Ark? Seems to me history suggests that the Ark, while cool, also was a bit of a scary burden to bear.

The Globe Theater? lol... every play they showed there was designed to incite political unrest ironically enough. (So while it may offer a good deal of happiness and a LOT of culture, I'd suggest adding some local instability factor from it too!)

Can't comment much on the Theater of Dionysus but I think we get the point.

I´d like it if it would scale with city size. Something like 20% of the inhabitants become happy.

Reason for this is: In later Eras the cities become really huge - and unhappy. Finally there is absolutely nothing that can make the cities happy again.

Good idea. There's a tag for that on buildings I believe... right?

What you think look like more a "No unhappy from population".
I think there already is a tag for this

Both the Theater of Dionysus and the Globe Theater go obsolete so they are very limited already. I don't see them as over powered at all. In fact the Globe Theater was just a national wonder which was made a world wonder because it has a name, it also had it's cost increased to global wonder status without getting any extra benefit at all.

Both of you are absolutely right. In the late game it is absolutely typical that cities reach sizes of 200 or beyond. And they become unhappy beyond repair and even continue growing if I have clicked the "don´t grow if unhappy" button. The reason is probably that there are too many buildings producing too much food. This unhappiness in the end leads to revolutions in otherwise totally healthy cities that have all buildings available and no crime or pollution, just because of size. Therefore I have turned off revolutions.
So it would be absolutely helpful if there would be standard buildings that reduce or even eliminate the unhappy faces from population. It would be OK for me if they were (reasonably) expensive to build.
