I cancel the R.O.P. with France. Joan went from Gracious to Annoyed. It must be the phase of the moon or something . . .
Turn 301 (1555 AD)
With the help of the Railroads, I start moving my Cavalry into a Stack of Death headed for
Seoul.
I start giving my unnamed Workers names, when suddenly . . .
THE POWER GOES OUT!
Only for a couple of seconds, but it’s enough to reboot my computer. ARGH!
Once I reloaded the 1550 AD save back in, I started again.

I cancel the R.O.P. with France. Joan went from Gracious to Annoyed. It must be the phase of the moon or something . . .
Turn 301 (1555 AD)
With the help of the Railroads, I start moving my Cavalry and 6 Artillery into a Stack of Death headed for
Seoul. This time around, I decide to add a Settler and a vInfantry to the Stack. You’ll see why in a minute. I also build a Stack of Death that’ll take care of the 3 cities near the middle of the continent.
I re-give my unnamed Workers names.
Figuring that it can’t hurt to see what I’m up against, I spend 90 Gold to Investigate
Seoul.
Seoul has NO, I repeat, NO Strategic Resources at all!
Seoul is defended by 6 Spearmen (2v, 4r), 3 Longbowmen (1v, 2r), and 1 Trebuchet.
Korea has 15 cities. Not for long . . .
I was all set to declare WAR, when it dawned on me that I wasn’t listening to any music. I looked through my collection for something appropriate, and VOILA!, I found Guns N’ Roses ‘Appetite for Destruction’! That’ll do quite nicely, thank you very much! (As I type this, I listening to Def Leppard’s ‘Euphoria’, but I digress . . .)
I open the Diplomacy window, and try to goad
Wang Kon into declaring on me, but he won’t. Surely, the ol’ fool has seen the Military build-up along his border. You’d think that he’d fall down on his knees, and beg me not to attack him. You’d think that he’d realize that he has no chance, and be nice to me, and offer me tribute, but no, he’s furious at me. Fine! Be that way! Anyway, I declare War, and see this . . .
The Stack of Death crosses the border. The Cavalry reach
Seoul, while the Artillery, Settler and vInfantry are two squares away from
Seoul. The Artillery uses up all of its movement to get there, so they don’t get a chance to fire.
The Cavalry, on the other hand, are another story! CHARGE! The last defender falls before my eCavalry! The Capital is taken in 1 turn!
SEOUL IS OURS!
I choose to raze the city! The Settler moves, and founds QUAHOG (QUA)! With the establishment of Quahog, the Spices luxury is automatically and immediately connected to the rest of the Empire. The Infantry garrisons in Quahog.
Meanwhile, the second Stack of Death heads for Pusan. There’s Rubber sitting just on the other side of the border. I want it! I want it now!
PUSAN IS OURS! HAEJU IS OURS! CHIJEI IS OURS!
Both Concord’s and Cambridge’s rMusketman are disbanded in Miami for an aggregate 30 Shields toward a Harbor. I pay 36 Gold to finish it.
Both Richmond’s and Baltimore’s rMusketman are disbanded in Lynchburg for an aggregate 30 Shields. (I think it was for a Library, but I forget . . . ).
The Korean Trebuchet takes a trip to Toronto where it is upgraded to Artillery for 75 Gold.
Phoenix’s rMusketman is disbanded in St. Louis for 15 Shields.
Both Toronto’s and one of Sante Fe’s rMusketman are disbanded in Santa Fe for an aggregate 30 Shields.
