Those print statements are a bit misleading. 'Quantity to place' doesn't guarantee that they'll be placed, merely that the code will look at placing that many - if the plots that it chose can't support those resources, then they won't be placed.

If by "break", you mean that te minimum city distance has been increased, then that because of the CP - I've posted a solution either on YnAEMP's thread or on CP's thread.

Apologies, by break I mean the setup screen mangled, unable to select civs and so forth. It's definitely this mod, at least on my machine after clearing cache etc.

Interesting... ExCE doesn't change the GameSetup...
You are using YnAEMP's setup screen, right? I haven't heard of much going wrong with the Advanced Setup screen, so are you using the wrong screen?

I've had this issue for a long time, and the only workaround I can find is to disable the "More Luxuries" mod from the community pack.

I've tried several different permutations, redownloading both mods and running nothing else but the Community Patch and ExCE, but all that's told me is that there is some kind of bug in ExCE that's preventing Obsidian, Vanilla and Rubber from spawning because no matter how many times I start a new game, when it comes time to spawn your resources it always looks like this:

Thanks for that man, disabling More Luxuries (I had it activated via the Community Balance Patch) fixes the issue of Exploration Expanded with the YnAEMP v23 setup screen. To be honest More Luxuries is a pain in the ass spreading Bison everywhere anyway. Thanks again.

Updated to v10:

• Inca now begin with a free Mint in cities that are settled on Mountains (it did NOT want to put Gold on the tile )*
• Added new Ancient Ruin bonuses from the CBP (Production, Tiles, and Golden Age Points) - they were originally in the CP but taken out. (can disable)
• Resolved (I think) an incompatibility between ExCE and Tarcisio's Mehmed V, by disabling TSL. This is not a permanent solution, but I'm stumped - especially because no one has reported the same issue with Mercs. and Mehmed V's Turks.
• Fixed an issue wherein Jungle-based resources would not spawn (there was a seemingly needless "Is this plot impassable" check).
• Recon Units may now cross Mountains and Ice from the start (basically, anything with Ignore Terrain Cost). So, if you want to capture an Incan city, you'll need one of these.
• Intrepid promotion, somewhat in compensation of the above, now gives recon units double movement in Marsh, in addition to Forest and Jungle.
• Updated Resources and Buildings for the latest CBP (let me know if there's something I've missed).

BTW, if anyone's concerned about the CTD I reported earlier, then fear not - I'd left some test stuff in that had been causing it.
Tested ExCE+More Luxes+YnAEMP, and had no issue with the Advanced Setup. Maybe it's a More Luxes with CBP thing?
Tested Thal's Promotion thingey and it appears to work as expected (well, the promotions shouldn't have their background, but I'm not doing that ). Need more info/link to used version.

*Oh, and if anyway wants to/can retexture the Machu Picchu graphic so that I can have an alternative version show up for the brown Mountains, don't be shy

Bug report(with previous version): Ordering a unit to move into a body of water(adjacent to it) before researching optics(didn't check afterwards) causes it to appear on the same tile as one of my other units or makes it reappear in an other continent. I would proivde you with logs, but first... Could any of your mods has caused this?

The CP has presently incorporated a portal gun feature. Gazebo is working on making it optional, I think. Nothing to do with ExCe anyway.

I think it's more a bug than a feature - that's what I gleaned from its being reported occassionally over there anyway. Kind of like (non-Incan) units starting on Mountains - that still goes on.

Actually, does the AI acknowledge mountains as a valid location to settle?

I think mutinies need to be reworked. I just lost a great admiral when one of my destroyers, in the Information era, decided to become pirates right next to my borders and surrounded by my primary fleet.

Mutinies shouldn't happen after the Industrial Era. Bug in the code... Will fix.

With the other version, I had some strange things on amazonas type map: When the settlers try to found a city on jungle, they just disappear, no city is created and I believe it killed some civs during the first turns. I don't know if someone else has this problem?
