Fall Further 050 Bug Report Thread

It might be a good idea to suggest which patch of FfH to play the latest FF patch with, preferrably next to the download link in the download thread. I remember looking everywhere for that info when I first decided to install FF, couldn't find any info, so I just blindly installed it on my FfH patch x.
 
I've made a clean install of FFH2->patchY and then FF->latest patch. The weird thing with FF is that I sometimes get CtD even when I just alt-tab out and in the game... And it's more often with Scions than with someone else.
 
I am just now trying a Archos game. Spiders a fun to terrorize your neighbours with.
If you choose Venenum you can still chosse Textus afterward. It seems that you forgot to block that.

Thanks - fixed now. Venenum was preventing you from selecting Venenum rather than Textus (which is somewhat redundant).
 
Something up with the random leader selection in custom games?

Set up 2 games in a row (yes, hardly a large sampling)...

Myself, 2 good leaders (Sab Bannor, Einion Elohim), 3 evil leaders (Perp Balseraphs, Alexis Calabim, Terbyn Sheiam) all purposefully chosen...

Then 2 random neutral, 2 random evil and 1 completely random options.

Launch the game...

First result was Khazad, Falamar (neutrals), Sheelba (evil), Cardith Lorda and Beeri...so 2 goods even though there was only room for 1 (the 1 completely random) under the options I chose.

Second result was Hannah, Sandalphon (neutrals), Faeryl (evil), Decius and Garrim for the last 2.

Looking over this again, both times I had room for possibly 1 more good civ and both times I got two good civs for some reason...and both had a Lurichip civ. Are they not labelled correctly perhaps?

Try #3 coming up...

Well this one didn't work either.

Doviello popped up as the 1 extra evil civ...Hannah, Amelanchier and Tasunke all popped up as well (where there should be 2 neutral civs, possibly 3 if the completely random went neutral as well) which leaves no room for Cardith Lorda to show up...but he did.
 
FF050j. PLaying Khad. There is no pop up warning when you cast maelstorm and there is a neutral civ's unit around. It got me into war against Kurios and Scions, when trying to repel the clan...Its a mess now...

BTW, it did not break my savegame...
 
Found a bug, most likely an old one that noone's noticed before. The additon of ERA_END to the Lizards, Lanun, Scions, and in my mod, Malakim, makes their city art visible with their special tech. Problem is, if you conquer any cities before you have a religion, there is no city art, as the city preserves it's original art. Adding ERA_END to all of the artsyles should fix it.

Edit: Holy hell, I've been reloading repeatedly this game so I can test things, and just now realized it hasn't crashed. Seriously need a sage named after Mootpoint. :goodjob:
 
So that's why sometimes my farms were dissapearing visually and I couldn't see my harbors as the Scions!

Valk, you just saved me from a sitdown session of trying to figure out what on earth I'd broken this time. +kudos.

Deleting all of the Barbarians allows it to continue to the next turn (and on).

Trying to find out which barbarians.

I have just loaded FF after reading about it for so long. I started my first game and put a settler down and it crashed. This happens in every game I have attempted since. Wondering if the above is related?
 
Since the Textus (Greater) promotion removes the original Textus promotion, after taking it you can take other Spider-type promotions (Venenum, etc.)

I, just yesterday, deleted my FF050 folder. Installed it over FFH2y. Applied patch J. And continued my saved game.
Everything is fine so far.
 
It really doesn't matter which base FfH patch you utilize. Any version from after 040 works as well as any other. It might be worthwhile to see precisely how much we save on filesize by remaining dependant on a FfH2 installation and possibly just re-distributing the shared artwork. But there is so much that I imagine we'd double the distribution file size at the minimum.

ShadowWorld, did you always try the same Civ, or was it crashing no matter which Civ you attempted? If it was for a specific Civ I am curious who it was. Also, did you have Patch J, or the unpatched 050?

I am using .40v and I think it was the race, I just loaded random and race and got Kuriotates and the game did not crash when I placed the settler. I was playing Svartalfar when it crashed.
