Fall Further Plus

Quick question:
Why does Zealotry add to support cost, instead of taking it away? That's the opposite of useful for an invasion.
 
Would the first download cause a GFC error. I got one during loading that said "Failed to initialize primary control" something or other. Then I had a CTD. I deleted FF050 after installing FFPlus if that would make a difference.
 
Any suggestion for fixing xml errors? I installed Fall Further and patch N, and then Fall Further Plus without incident. When I tried to load it up it gave me a dozen or so xml errors on shrimp, refined mana, lunnotor, handgunners, and so on. Thank you for the mod and your help.
 
Could you tell me exactly what files the error comes from? Artdefines_bonus, bonusinfos, unitinfos? I'm not getting any of that on my end.

Edit: The reload worked. Thanks for all the hard work. I really love what you've done with the game. The word "Plus" fits very well.

Glad to hear it. :goodjob: Honestly, quite a bit of the work was done by others(Mechanos, for example), I just adapted it. Still took quite a while, but not nearly as long as building it from scratch would.

Already in the credits list. :lol: They're listed in order, so if you go to sounds/soundtracks/machinarum they'll be in order. Renamed them for now so they'd be easier to put in... Will change the names in a patch.

Edit: Gotta grab some more music, as well.... Both for the Ordo Machinarum, and the White Hand.

Mechanos warriors are not getting the attack strength boost from bronze weapons, only the defensive.

You should probably find a way to not make Adeptus die when they spread religion, as they are three times as expensive as the other units that do it that way.

Lenora requires only Astronomy, but regular Zeppelins also require Alchemy. Intentional?

Actually, if you look closely the Mechanos warriors are 2/3. It's an effect promo nerfing them down a strength, to compensate for early copper. Intentional, needs to be better documented though.

This part I'm not sure on. Would be easy to allow them a spell like that of the Mouth of the Divine, but I want it to be expensive to spread.... I'll look at it, again.

Lenora is intentional. She will mainly be useful in the Blimp era.

Did you try to install FFPlus Patch B? If so, that would screw with quite a bit, should cause those errors. It's an old patch, I forgot to remove the attachment. :lol:

I did find one issue while checking... While rerouting art, I rerouted the shrimp's animation without actually moving it, since it's the crab animation. Basically pointed it at something non-existant. It still shows in game, but not in the pedia and is not animated. Not sure if it will cause problems or not. Just in case, I've attached a 'quickfix' to the first post, containing the proper artdefine. All necessary folder structure is there, just extract into your FFPlus folder.

Yeah I just caught the warrior thing when I started a second game.

Steamworks was not buildable by a Great Engineer before I fixed it.

If you can find it, some of the Terran music from Starcraft would be pretty awesome for Machinarium music. It would also be cool to include CivIIIModCeltic (it's in the Warlords sound folder) as a reference to the modern era of regular Civ.
 
Woops, yeah. Just checked it, forgot to remove <bUnique> from it's building class.... Artifact from when it was the worldspell building. Uploaded a new fix with the corrected file. I could do it the way you did, but then a conquerer would not be able to build it.... Which might be okay, but I'd rather do it this way.

I'll take a look at that music too..... Found that post after I replied to you. :lol: Have the game, so it shouldn't be hard.

I hadn't caught the steamworks issue, because when I tested it it was still defined as a unique building for the Mechanos. :lol:
 
Not sure if this has been mentioned but I love the extra cost of Adeptus units because they can Spring, Entrench etc? damn these guys are awesome!
 
The fun thing was I started on a peninsula about 2/3 desert...sitting there wondering "do I refine the mana or try to get a water one for spring? Can I even get freakin spring?!?" Worked out perfectly.

BTW I love the Mechanos.
 
Probably a noob question Valkrionn but when I installed FFPlus it also copied the Modules folder from FF (I assume it did that). How come my slave market module is not working in FFPlus?
