Fall Further - The Original Thread

No Unique art for Chariots or Arquesbus. They are both men.
 
I think it might be a bit much to ask for unique art for all the units... I think getting FF to work with the current version of FfH might be a higher priority.
 
I have tried to get a desktop icon for Fall Further, but every time I link it from the folder that I use separate from my FfH, it takes my to FfH instead?

Also, I love this mod, but sometimes it's a bit of a chore to remember what I've updated in which folder. In the new BtS update, they used one of the major mods for Next War as an 'official' mod: Any chance of FF ever being bundled together with FfH?
 
To change the target of your FF icon, right click it and go to Properties. Check the "Target" line... my guess is that you've got two installs: your regular FfH (which is probably what the Target line is pointing to right now) and one called "Fall Further". Just find where is says

mod=\Fall from Heaven 2 032
and change the "Fall from Heaven 2 032" to "Fall Further" (or whatever the name of the directory you've installed FF into is).

I believe Vehem said he'd provide an easier installation method with the next version.
 
Atually, if the lizardkin promotion is removed from chariots and arquabus, then you can claim their mecenaries. But, then they have major movement pelanties. But yay, turn 380, and have 51% of the worlds pop, and 38% of the total land area, and done Genisis, Rites of Oghma. I'm also earning ton of commerce. I love Mazatl! And lost lands! and Coaltann!
 
When is FF goin to be updated for FfH v0.032h? Cuz right now it's on patch e still. And that means it's less stable for me since I'm usin patch h.
 
Varn Gossam has a Succumbus running around. He is Ashen Veil, and there are no Sheim in the Game.
 
Okay, I figured it was something like that. Just confirming it wasn't a bug.
 
So, um...update for FfH v0.032 patch h? When?!

Cuz it's very unstable atm.
 
It might be somewhere in this forum, but is there a list of the Kahdi's gate creatures? The civopedia entry is good as blank.
 
Never seen a list of the Kahdi gate creatures. Sorry, man.

Maybe we could make one. It's easy nough to edit the XML files with Notepad ++ to put a list on, say, the Kahdi gate buildin. Jus like there's a list of creatures on the Sheaim planar gate.
 
There are exactly four gate creatures for the Kahdi: The Gnosling (Strength 2 +1 meta affinity, casts Floating Eye and Dispel), the Thade (Strength 4, can't attack, basically an Adept that starts with some random lvl1 spells), the Djinn (Exactly like the summon but permanent), and the Psion (Extremely powerful unit that starts with Mind 1-3; available only to Mammon-Kahd). I believe Thades require the Library UU, and Djinns and Psions require the Alchemist Lab UU. Gnoslings have no prereq.

And personally, I think there should be a few more gate creatures added, just for some variety; the Kahdi get shafted compatred to the Sheim when you look at the strength of their gates.
 
I agree. One or two more would be nice, maybe outside the arcane tree? It's always nice to be rewarded for trying out something different.
 
1. i working on manual , where i will make list of creatures.
2. gnostling need library, thade mage guild , and it can attack, if not teleporting same turn. teleport = attack, so no attack just if you used teleport. djunns and psions - meditation halls.
3. i think there will be nice to add some mammon only plannar assasin. that have also command 1. need hunting lodge and poison tech to spawn.
 
do gnostling need repository yet? In my game, one spawned with no library? Or is one the limit I can have right now for them since I got it the turn after I got a Vault gate.
 
Looking at the python right now, and Gnoslings do NOT require any building other than the Gate itself.

I've been messing around with the Kahdi a lot in my personal mod; nothing is finished yet, but I have some solid plans for how I want to up the diversity of their gates. For one, I'm going to give them two more unique buildings, for their Elder Council and Pagan Temple. Then I'm going to move Thades to the unique Elder Council + Gate, give them a sort-of Mobius Witch equivalent from their Mage Guild + Gate, a cure disease/divine unit from their unique Pagan Temple + Gate, a potent city defender from their unique Library + Gate, and a Minotaur-strength, mobile cultural defense unit from Obsidian Gate + Vault Gate.

The big thing is going to be that none of their gate units will be potent offensive units (Except Psions, and Djinns and Gnoslings with high affinity); the Vault Gates will provide mostly support and defense units.
 
Maybe you should add another powerful gate creature that is Mammon-only, since adding so many others will water down the chances of getting a Psion, and thus lower the value of going the Mammon path.
