Also, to the arguement of whther releasing the units will or will not harm the mod, i have to personally state: Yes it will. Statistical chances, imply that those who'll bother to dnload it, even if for the units, once they have it on their hard drive, MIGHT be tempted to actually try it.

Whereas if they already have the units, they will not(most good mods are pretty big dnloads, so who wants to spent so much time dloading?) as easy.

Also, about money offered, I see it as a suggestion only. Nobody forced anyone into it. Though it is a bit far fetched for something that is fan-based. Besides, paying money for it, would raise expectations far more than it should and possibly fill creators with needless stress to make up for it.

Apparently a newbie suggested, let's not scare him out, without knowing what he meant to say first.

I find the new zeppelin style machine nice, but the texture applied to the engines looks a bit new. maybe something leaning more to purple?
 
now, when i have read all pages of this thread, and seen all screenshots and other pictures.. i'll have to say, that i like old regular boarders more (or this needs something else, at least not that wire.. imagine wirefence around the whole state)
also, i think Pounder's ruins are great, but it should get some fixing.. as some buildings overlap buildings in front of them.
Wonder to remove feelings of robots, should not add great amount of happy faces (then you get robots that shoot fireworks), but this wonder should make.. let's say a hundred people content:!
Also, i agree (i don't remember anymore whose suggestion it was).. but i agree, that robots should not name their cities with names.. first robot cities/military bases until Norad, yees, these are made by humans to produce first of robots.. but then robots take control.. they build new bases, with only numbers or markings, for what purpose these bases/citys have.. let's say, they build a city to the hills to mine ressources.. they don't need a name like hillgrounds (etc.).. they probbably name it just ressource collecting base 1.. or even just base 1
Vice versa.. vault dwellers are humans, they come from vault and i guess, they name their first city a Vault City.. but after then, i think, they dont want to associate any new city's with life in a vault.. imagine, they have seen, what possibilities are in outside world (atleast, when you have a G.E.C.K.)
Other than that.. this mod is greater than any civ mod before (this is my opinion).. and i cannot wait it's release.. still i respect that you guys want to make it perfect, cuz i'm also a perfectionist;)

Flamand, outstanding! One small question though, is it possible to give the eyebot an energy attack from its lower pod? :D

Laser or tesla attack? That's easy to add, but I never saw the eyebot do any thing but tickling the enemy... :)
 
Laser attack sir.:) Boy I remember from the Sierra Army Depot those darn things taking pot shots at me with the lasers while the Sentry Bots were pounding my behind with their missiles.:D

Nope the eyebot was just poking people with a rod :)

Can you put both eyebots to use in your mod.. cause both of these are cool
And by the way.. i just played Sierra Base again - actually eyebots do melee attack.. still laser is extremely cool

@AncientOne, if Flamand is kind enough to include both attacks, I did have that in mind. The melee version as a enslavement type of attack, and the laser as a non enslavement attack.:)

First off all great work guys - i am looking forward to this mod ...

Second - could you point me to the page where the tech tree is (if it exists) ? 'cause i would like to see it .
Having played fallout 1 & 2 at least 4 times and Tactics twice maybe i'll have an idea or two :D
I promise i will start reading alllllll the posts here when i finish with the exams ... but first - tech tree :)

Boating ? - maybe Fishing in the second era (encounter in falout1) ... and add Boat construction in the 3/4 era (fallout2 - oil tanker)
Maybe instead of Radio in the 2nd era you could say "Short-range comunication" and 3rd era "Radio"or "Long range comunication"
Nuclear power & Wastes processing should be in 3rd era ... and in the 4th era you should add non-game stuff ... (i see you already did) but also add a tech "Nuclear war" - nukes

Maybe the 2nd era(or maybe first :hmm: ) should be only with pre-war stuff - Ruin Scavanging (or smthing) , Pre-war medical supplyes (you can simulate the lack of supplies by making whatever improvs you will add expire in a very short time- the imediat next tech which should be Chemistry (which makes that improv expire) (the people - seeing that the pre-war stuff will dissapeare are trying to understand it after scavanging them) and only after that you should add Manufacturing medical supplies (ok maybe another name cause this is too long:D ) - this was just an example ...

No era names ...
Random era ideas : :hmm: maybe smth like "end of nuclear winter" or "re-emerging life" (first era maybe) "Pre-war remnants" (for the second era)
, let's see "Rise of Post-War civilizations" (3rd era)
The last era should be smth like "Return of the old ways" (add loads of high-tech stuff that was before the war).

Just some ideas i had ... i have plenty more but i would start ranting after friday (exam D-day)

OOOoooo i just have some great ideas on how to implement religion in this mod :satan: - remind me later :D

EDIT: If there is one thing i'm good at in this world , it is giving ideas and adivices (i didn't say GOOD ideas;) ).
 
But since i didnt read all the stuff said before i cant properly make suggestions ... but i promise i will read everything a little later :salute:
