I was looking through the annuls of history and politics and business, and realised, that someitmes, nice people... cheat!

Lenin claimed he wanted to only help the russians, but he made himself a dicator in order to do it.

Drug companies, sell drugs half off to help people, but the truth is that they already inflate the price by 1000% or so. example, if each pill costs $20, it only really costs $0.02 to make

Some politicians dont do what they feel is best, but what they think the most people want them to do. just to get elected again and again...

George Washington refused to be paied as President, but to have his things paied for instead. the truth is he spent 2 times as much as he would have made. he also spent 15 years as leader of the USA before being elected as president {1775-1789}, for 2 terms. he spent a total of 23 years as leader. FDR was president for 16 years, and everyone complained.

I think a dictator with a feeling of social responsiblity is better than a arrogant, aristocratic small minded dictator. Although mabye that's just me. Lenin could hardly be considered, in the short term, a step backwards, considering what The Russians had had in the past.

1. Lenin did cheat, but he was not a nice man. Bolshevism always considered violence as a necessary part of the cause.

2. Why do drug companies charge so much.
a. They want a profit.
b. The drug costs more than 2 cents per pill. There is the research and developement costs on those drugs, not to mention all the money researched and drugs that eventually don't work.

3. Politicians do what the people want them to do so they can be elected is a bad thing?

4. No comment on the Washington comment though, as I don't know nearly enough.

One thing that is important to understand is that you are not just paying for the cost of the pill to manufacture. You are paying for the millions of dollars, and years of work that discovered the product. Just like with CD's; you are not only paying for the CD but the artists work. And it is very hard to determine costs for such R&D.

Don't start US bashing though! Washington bashing is fine with me, but others may think otherwise. I think that Washington was in the right place at the right time rather than being a great leader and statesman. Of all the people who signed the Declaration of Independence, there were far more worthy leaders than Washington, but he became the first president and passed into history, establishing his place such that woe betide those who try to sully his memory. Oops
