Karankoff States
We start with the nation of the Karankoff States which finally gets it act together and the military dictatorship in charge mobilizes its forces to crush the barbarian hordes. The famed general now dictator (Carmen you may insert name here) immediately sets all production rebuilding the nation’s infantry reserves. Much of the population dies in the city as a result of most remaining supplies being sent to the military from starvation and disease. The general now has an army though and he uses it effectively and without mercy on the tribes that have ravaged his nation. He manages to break through the exhausted enemy who was sieging of Westmaker City. After a fierce but one sided battle for the Karnakoff States as they break the enemy army and route them. The rest of the war is easy as the barbarians have barely fight left in them and their homeland falls. The Karankoff States have survived but their homeland is in ruin and their nation still teeters on the brink of another civil war…
(- 2000 infantry, -5,000 people (No population growth), +10,000 people from conquered lands, -500 cavalry, -1 rural economy)
Dilhava
The nation of Dilhava is finally on the move helping T’lur Pa chase the huge piracy problem that has ascended on the Great Sea. A fleet of 15 ships with some of Dilhava’s specially trained Hawks (See UU description) begin to move on the pirates. Dilhava is successful in warding them off from the main trade routes to T’lur Pa and Corenwal. A few ships are lost in the battles against the pirates but commerce raiding all but stops. The signing of the merchant pact brings much prosperity as Dilhava extends her trade contacts to Corenwal, Karankoff States, Paltrone, and Sienne. Expansion southwards is very successful as the weaker tribes are more then happy to give up their independence for protection against tribes in the interior of the peninsula.

T'lur Pa
T’lur Pa sees a huge growth once again as always as they quickly become the super power of the Great Sea. The barbarians on T’lur Pa’s borders remain jealous of its wealth launching continued raids no matter the coast. Then T’lur Pa organized a large force to do a major blow to these tribes. The counter attack force consisting of several thousand men horsemen are called up and they march towards their enemies. The main targets are the leaders of the enemy tribes. The ones in localized areas are easy to kill and the people are just asked to submit. The major warlords on the other hand were no easy task as they mobilized and banded together against T’lur Pa. They make a stand against the advancing army but quickly fall back attacking the tribes behind them. Many larger tribes disintegrate in the face of large numbers of refugees and soldiers fleeing north to escape the onslaught. T’lur Pa is hailed as liberators as they advance towards the war torn landscape bringing some since of order back to the land. The remaining warlord’s territories fragment into dozens of various fighting tribes trying to regain power. If T’lur Pa were to keep them divided and weak they may be barbarian free on these borders for decades to come. Uprising begun to form in the nation of Paltrone and her colonies as many the people demand the monarch join with the wealthy T’lur Pa. The colonies outright revolt and join T’lur Pa. Will this cause a conflict between the nations as Paltrone demands her colonies returned? T’lur Pa also helps combat the pirate menace meeting similar results as Dilhava but with much more casualties as the trade routes in T’lur Pa are further stretched and their tiny navy has trouble keeping up.

Terra Trifulentia
Now we move on to the nation of Terra Trifluentia which immediately works to hold their new found empire together. Several new cities to promote unity are established along the empire. These new cities provide a place for the empire’s subjects to mingle and exchange cultures to assimilate the subjects. New roads are also built extending all the way down to Victoria which is built in honor of all the soldiers who lost their lives. From Victoria new contacts are made with Imperial Tephen and Maasla Kiesta making this city an important trading center. Now the main river of the cradle has been connected by the major civilizations of the world this has caused a rise of new powerful barbarian tribes but they are all peaceful unless provoked. Terra Trifluentia got through the critical stages of owning such a large empire but only because of their decentralized government which has been working thanks to the attempts at unity. However when the need for unity is gone will this government fall into a bunch of bickering city-states loosely united by cultural ties?

Imperial Empire of Tephen
The Imperial Empire of Tephen has thrived after years of campaigning against barbarians come to an end. A huge wall of fortresses is constructed on the northern border to keep the barbarians from ever threatening the homelands again. To the south Tephen lowers taxes on farmers who move to the southern banks of the River Teet. This proves to be successful as thousands of farmers from the crowded northern areas moves south to populate and farm the rich open farmland in the south. Infantry are sent westwards to establish imperial control over the valuable minerals to the west. The military expedition is followed by perhaps by a mining expedition along with the growth of farmland the rural production of Tephen explodes. A large military expedition is launched onto a medium southeastern tribe weak from years of fighting with the newly risen tribes farther south and keeping its position of power. Not expecting an attack this large from any direction the tribe was simply crushed by Imperial Tephen’s numbers and new tactics that proved just as successful in the south as it did in the north. Also, new found contact with Terra Trifluenita gives the new nation another civilized nation to trade with.

Hylon
The nation of Hylon continues to assimilate its conquests and integrates the former barbaric tribes into a civilized society. The nation is well united and several tribes argue instead of continuing to halt expansion to the weakened tribes to the east and west. Rumors also circulate that the nearby mountains to the west are rich in minerals one of the most attracting as usual being huge deposits of gold, tin and copper all precious to civilization. Works continues on the Du’al Monument which when completed will be the center of the Du’alist religion dominant in the nation.

Ilion
Ilion consolidates their gains and begins to build cities all over the nation causing a huge population boom within the urban setting of the nation. All of this new available manpower adds to the production of the urban. New crafts and improved technologies thrive in this setting. Ilion immediately took advantage of these improved technologies and adapted them to the military and improving the production of goods. The capital becomes a trade center as the bounty of goods can be traded in large quantities to nations like Corenwal and Tereno or the various small kingdoms dotting the Great Sea.
(+2 urban economy, +Ilion trade center, +1 confidence)
Corenwal
Corenwal immediately invests heavily into their already powerfully navy to crush the pirate raids. The largest navy ever fielded extracts huge revenge on the pirate raids keeping the merchant shipping safe but with only minor losses. The source of the raids over 25 years of searching is finally discovered as the ships discover Saliden has been providing refuge for pirates. A few colonies are established in the new world and explorations far north are taken where the temperatures seem to plummet as they go further. Education is also invested in where most of the time many intellects go about interpreting and finding meaning to the texts and myths of Bhatoism. Missionaries are sent to both Saliden and Sienne to gain converts which works only in Sienne as Saliden turns the missionaries away. As of know there is a small Bhatoism minority in Sienne.

Duchy of Fizcat
The Duchy of Fizcat expands its realm to the south to the tip of the peninsula cementing their claims to the lands by the founding of the city of Valduz. Fizcat also offers the pirates that are weeling back from the grand alliance formed against them to join the fleet of Fizcat and give up their ways. Several captains refuse to give up their freedom and lust for wealth but still nearly a dozen new ships arrive in the harbor of Fizcat to join the kingdom. Thanks to the effectiveness of the war on piracy Fizcat enters the growing ring of trade between the new and old worlds.

Maasl Kiesta
Now we end our tour of the cradle with something to lighten the mood. The royal marriage between Maasl Kiesta and Kaldur takes place binding the two nations into a union. Although the two nations have not merged it will take place when a child of the union is born and is the heir to both kingdoms they will be one. For now they are literally one nation with two rulers. Other reforms such as offering the nation’s brightest people a job as teachers who will go down in the textbooks and receive monumental achievement. There are several speeches talking about good about the faith in Maasl and the leader bring the people much confidence in the future of their nation. Trade flowing through from both ends of the great river brings the capital Chomli'Onostu to trade center status.
