A New Cradle
Huming, A New Cradle
A land very much different from the cradle which we have watched since this story began but we have missed out on a new area. A land of giant rivers flowing through fertile plains filled with farmers tending to their rice like crops.
The country which came into existenace recently but the vast fertile plains caused a population explosion with three cities arising very quickly united under an Oligarchy. The Oligarchy is ruled by seven families called Xi, Liu, Li, Wang, Zhu, Lao and the Chen families. These families all participate in make important decisions that affect the entire nation.
Now an interesting social system has been set up in this nation with huge emphasize set on large families. Women are required to cover themselves completely in clothing. While on clothing the people of this nation see the color of red as luck and white as a symbol of death and mourning. A strange law was passed not outlawing “concubines” but setting a limit on the number of “concubines” a man can have.
The people in the nation worship a polytheistic religion with a main center god who is in control of several subordinates. The main god is called To-ra who has many minions which the people do believe and worship in. The emphasize on family comes from this belief.
This nation the only fairly civilized power so far to rise in its cradle but there may be some surprises beyond the shroud.
Now back to the main cradle…
Fizcat
Fizcat continues to crack down on the tiny Bhato minority in their nation which makes a majority of the country happy but the plague sort of cancels out any gains made in confidence of the people. On the note of the plague casualties drop significantly as population is no longer immensely dense.
Slowly casualties fall but the country moves forward with in spreading its faith by making a monastery in Valduz honoring the great philosopher Fenwic. It is a temple where people can gain knowledge, discipline and spiritual awakening.
Now a major Fenwic minority grows in T’lur Pa as the years of neverending wars bring many people to adopting that faith.

Holy Bhatotist Empire of Neptanian
This empire was born out of the ashes of a plague which begins to recede as people develop immunities to the disease. The disease in fact since trade with Fizcat ends peters out becoming a distant nightmare to many. This takes place in T’lur Pa, Tereno, Ilion and so many other states along the Great Sea. The Plague has ended here as it also begins to lose momentum in the vast sparely populated lands inland. Trade picks up again as Corenwal and several other cities rise to great cities of trade.
The Allied Bhatoist League grows with many new members now considered the greatest alliance in the world. Tampla joins the alliance in a deal gaining all of Sienne’s lands. Bhato missionaries now flood the lands converting nearly every person within the kingdom.
Karankoff also joins the league as many of their people become mass followers of this faith. Grand Master Leos oversees the publishing of the book called Neptanian although it takes many years for even a few books to get into circulation this book is a milestone for the faith. T’lur Pa even purchases some of these books to put into their vast project called the Wells of Ages.
Also, another attempt to establish a colony in the north is made and is quite successful.

Keeleh
People had long been fleeing the devastated lands of Kaldurraha’Kieesta with their homelands being sacked and the plague ravaging the survivors. Many Kaldurians immigrated to T’lur Pa but the Kee people had one choice flee north. Over many years these people with the assistance of Teraden who once was in a similar situation over 5,000 people made across the mountains to the north. They settled in a valley with east defense as it surrounded by mountains. This valley has a sea to the north and mountains to the south so these people will be relatively safe for many years.
Dilhava
Dilhava continues to expand and invest into its project which it finishes on time making the capital into a cultural center. Dilhava also expands to surrounding areas to incorporate into the country.

Tampla
Tampla is sold the lands it got from defeating the nation of Sienne with the Bhato Empire. The nation joins the Bhato League getting the benefits of the protection and becomes a power in the region because of the league.

Vlakan
The Vlakan after many years of campaigning against fellow tribes move onto civilization.
The city-states of Kalnos and Valnos which had long feared being swallowed up by their much larger neighbor Ilion suddenly were attacked by the warrior culture of the Vlakan. Now the Vlakan moved onto Valnos. As the Vlakan moved in Kalnos got word of this and seeing the opportunity while their nearby city-state was distracted moved in and took the capital with relatively easily.
Now Valnos met the Vlakan on the open field which was a blunder. They were inexperienced with warrior horse cultures and were quickly with little casualties on the part of the Vlakan were quickly encircled and utterly destroyed.
The Vlakan raced across the lands towards the capital to find another army beat them to it. The Chief Vlada enraged by this set siege to the capital encircling the city of Valnos and then marched towards the border.
The city of Valnos fell after a few weeks of siege for a long siege they were not prepared for. Now the Vlakan have the choice to utterly crush Kalnos or sign a treaty in their favor. The civilian population is enslaved and forced to help run the countryside making a small boost in production.

Also, Kinsman Keep is finished lavishing a huge palace bring more culture and confidence to these people.
The End of the Taruq Wars
Well since the mod is getting tired of a war he had no intention of being this long he used his powers to make both sides shake hands and admit the other was a better man

. Oh well that is my wish but in order for this to be an enjoyable experience for my players I better type of something up or they may quit…
Okay we will go east to west with this conflict starting with T’lur Pa.
Things in a way go good for T’lur Pa who amasses an army of 20,000 infantry to counter the threat. Their intent to free the tribes who were conquered by the enemy forces. While Carran and Taruq prepare for a push of their own they are heavily outnumbered and T’lur Pa simply overwhelms them with numbers. A lot of land falls back into T’lur Pa’s hands plus they completely defeat Harshan. Carran would have been more help if their soldiers had not been fighting so far from home with supplies strained they just were no match. A meager 1000 horsemen from Sky Gods- Taruq are contributed to the fight so it was a brutal end for that advance. But T’lur Pa would soon facing more threats in the north which they are not prepared for as they liberate their fellow allied tribes.
Now Kaldurraha’ Kieesta was on the verge of collapse with their capital completely razed to the ground their seemed little or no hope. The King who has held the empire together died of old age. The lands and armies fell apart into squabbling groups of tribes who were ripe for plunder. Sky Gods-Taruq easily swung north by building a bridge of boats roped together. They fell upon the capitals of Kieesta and Kaldur taking anything of value. Thousands fled north and thousands died. Few survived but now they are under the rule of the Sky Gods-Taruq. A sad day for a once powerful kingdom but perhaps successor states will rebuild the power that once stood here when the power of Sky Gods-Taruq fade.
Now the Sky Gods-Taruq see the border of T’lur Pa and a rich trading center just down the coast which now has lost its trade thanks to the war. Merchants move south as there is simply no one begins to trade with. As the Taruq-Sky Gods move in to raid the city they find the once prosperous city due to their actions before virtually is a ghost town. They do raid and pillage what little wealth remains and just pull back. T’lur Pa had a minor garrison which was overwhelmed while the main force in the south pushed into enemy lands.
Now Sky Gods- Taruq is a land of diverse cultures each subjugated in one way or another. Now the people of Canidae long ago collapsed as their nation was simply not organized and with poor leadership. The Sky Gods took these lands but the people remained and they are on the rise again. Howls of dogs filled the mountains valleys one winter as a local chieftan tired of being under the yoke of another people who often left meager garrisons. They quickly overwhelmed them spreading their revolt but they are not strong enough to go far from their lands. They prepare for the wraith of the Sky Gods who will come back to crush what really is a pathetic revolt.
Now both sides we will do the final front. The first thing Terra Trifluentia does is rebuild the great city of Fraternitas is reconstructed. This brings a wave unwavering confidence across the country as people sign up to rejoin the military. The city truly becomes a symbol of brotherhood as Terra weathers the storm as Sky Gods-Taruq launch two attacks.
Sky Gods-Taruq moves across onto the pathway that Terra Trifluentia onced used in a failed raid. The goal is to destroy whatever attempts Terrians have at ending the war quickly but they find no one defending the lands so they advance quickly upon the plains but are stopped by heavy fortifications.
Now the second attack comes from the territory that once was Kaldurraha’ Kieesta onto Terra Trifluentia. Now Terra Trifluentia during this time has been extending its fortifications northward and also repairing old ones. The Sky Gods struck before the fortifications were completed in the north coming down on Faucitas (I hope that is right) surrounding the city. Now the Terrians and Sky Gods meet on open ground with the numbers roughly even. The Terrians come to relieve a city under siege while the Sky Gods-Taruq attempts to hold their siege. Now the future of the Greater Empire of Taruq and the Sky Gods is at stake as a defeat here could cause divisions and fractures with the empire with the failure to break civilization.
Now the general of Sky Gods-Taruq knows he has mobility and has the ability to choose land he wishes to fight on. He also knows he cannot leave Terrian territory for the enemy will not follow. A game of cat and mouse is play in the northern reaches of Terra Trifluentia until finally the Sky God-Taruq general finds a land of his choosing.
The city surrounded and cut off ran out supplies as the weeks wore on. The commander in charge came up with an ambitious plan knowing the city was lost but no the troops within it he may be able to make a breakthrough and if he failed well they would be heroes. First thing he did was burn and hide any valuables or desecrating their value as much as possible. Every able bodied citizen was called uHe made a valiant last charge through the gates with his men but they did not make it far but he would go down as a symbol and hero.
A ¼ of the force was in charge of keeping the siege of the city then the gates opened up. A force in sad shape numbering 1000 men charged with civilians holding whatever they could grab came running out. The cavalry easily boxed them in and began the slow slaughter but they took many with them. Some argued the commander was a fool for not waiting a little others and other argued he inspired his people. But whoever is right it does not matter for the most decisive indecisive battle would take place. No one won and no one lost for it ended the war right there.
Now I will not go into details of the final battle but both sides had atrocious casualties as the numbers of the Terrians balanced out the mobility of Taruq. Even with a victory here there was not point to continue as the Tephen reinforcements would have arrived along with masses of conscripted civilians fighting for their country the invasion would have halted. Now the warriors of Taruq do not fanatically fight for their king. They fight for plunder and wealth. Now they got a massive amount of plunder in their war with Kaldurraha’ Kieesta and so not point in continuing after they failed to break Terra Trifluentia.
The union ended that day as Taruq’s warriors filtered home and the nobles there revolted propping up a new leader. The Sky Gods became an independent identity and continued to fight putting down the Canidae revolt easily. The empire was too large to hold together and it fragmented in the west into ton of tribes who wanted the constant back and forth warfare to end.
Lands all across the regions were drained of wealth. Many thousands pershed or were displaced. The plague went through the lands but it was no as affective in the nomadic lands. Carran felt some of it but it really is insignificant to the greater scheme of things.
Terra Trifluentia lost. T’lur Pa lost. The Greater Empire of the Sky Gods and Taruq lost. Everyone lost as thriving empires were almost brought to their knees.
(Terra Trifluentia: -6000 infantry, -1 trade center, -20,000 people)
(T’lur Pa: -5000 infantry, -500 cavalry, -1 trade center)
(Tephen: -3500 infantry, -1000 Trinity Horsemen)
OCC:
North King I just did your stats with a rough estimation. Too confusing to do your stats with exact numbers.
Well I decided to make it another indecisive conflict which will most likely bring this war to an end. No one will win but each side will have exhausted their man power to the point there is no point to continue. The Greater Empire of the Sky Gods and Taruq does not have the manpower to destroy Terra Trifluentia and one on one probably could defeat T’lur Pa. NK most of your plans succeeded but all the plunder you gained did not go to the chieftains who you needed for support but for supplying and expanding the army. It was a vicous cycle. The only way you could survive is if the Taruq and various other chieftains.
I agree NK your empire is an odd arrangement but I also agree both parties have common goals. But you have been fighting this war for hundreds of years only completely destroying one of your three enemies. Now this was partly my fault not taking into account the true strength of horse warrior cultures The Sky Gods will continue for you NK. Taruq will also survive and they will one day return I assure you. You are bound in an alliance with them. One that will most like endure once both of you rebuild your power to once again terrorize civilization.
I think you would agree with my decision in some form North King and hope everyone else does as well.
Now for the other side your casualties were high. NK’s armies simply are going to do that they are mobile warriors. A deadly combination. You better not complain because I could lower your casualties but then the war continues
How I would have conducted things differently:
-Kaldurraha’ Kieesta should have fallen apart much sooner
-T’lur Pa and Terra Trifluentia, I believe should have taken more casualties early on
- A few other minor things too tired to think.
-Sky Gods-Taruq should have broken apart the turn when little plunder came in for that was the only thing holding them together
I am exhausted. Will finish stats tomorrow as well as the updated climate map. *Goes to Sleep*
