Disagree about China being more imperialistic. In a regular game you might control three foreign cores, Tibet, Mongolia, Korea, while Turkey controls seven, if I counted correctly. (Greece, Byzantium, Phonecia, Babylon, Arabia, Egypt, Iran/Persia).

Granted most of those cores are overlapping or are like two tiles apart.

I'd also say Turkey is just as unique as China.

When you are playing as China, you don't have to worry about facing Cixi. That can't happen as you can't face your own LH.
