As a spinoff of the computer music thread: Are there 'songs' from your old NES/SEGA/ATARI systems from way back when that still get stuck in your head from time to time? Which of those have stood the test of time?

For me, the level 1 music for Mario Bros 2 still gets stuck in my head, despite the fact that I only played it for about a week back in '93...

I used to whistle the tune to Tetris when I was had a Nintendo, it was really catchy.

:)

Aw yeah, Tetris is another good one.

If its the Dream factory aka arabian night, then Yeah, i love the musictoo, and its still in my head.

Another i must mention is Demon Sword from taito. just love the music from al lvl and especially the boss music.

Others inculde, Super Mario bros 3, Super Mario bros 1(swimming scene), Ghost and Ghoul, Zelda & Rockman.

Ah, the mario swimming levels...I like that one too....

Dr. Mario had the best music. I liked "Chill" the best but "Fever" was good, too. (the reason I remember the names is that you selected them before each game)

Oh my gawrsh, that game was the bees knees!

BTW, Fever was best :smug:

Super Nintendo Sonic, also deserves a mention, it's nearing old school status.

I think SNES games are old school now. ANyone remember RBI baseball? ( I think that is what is was called...) WHatever it was, it had some great (but r-e-p-e-t-i-v-e) music...

Zelda light world music in the SNES Zelda game (Zelda a link to the past).

Mario is easily my favourite.

Mario and Duck Hunt had great music. Check out a band called Estradasphere. They made some great Nintendo covers that are available on their site.

Just type Nintendo in Kazaa looking for audio files and you get tons of great tunes! The Zelda theme played by a symphonic orchestra is marvelous!

Megaman II had some of the best music for any system IMO. Try and find midis of the Bubbleman and the Dr. Wily 2 stages!

[edit: spelling]

Mario Bros.!!!

Same here. I saw somewhere a video of a guy who could play it on the Piano. I'd like to learn how to do that.

Super Mario theme by far is the my favorite game music of all times.
