Favourite sitcom of all time

Why? It's hilarious.

I dunno, I always watch Pink Floyd The Wall when I am down, just to see someone having a more miserable time than me ;)

Seinfeld, Friends, and The Office

Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Father Ted, King of the Hill.

Bored to Death is pretty good too, but I haven't seen enough to call it a favorite. It's pretty hipsterish, but still really funny since it seems to be making fun of hipsters while still being made for them.

Black adder is really good, except the first season. It is one of those rare examples of how sitcoms can get better after each season. Fawlty towers is also really good.

The best American sitcom? I can imagine why nobody has mentioned 3rd Rock from the sun? John Lithgow was nominated for an emmy for each year the show was broadcast. He won three times (50%).

To be honest I forgot about that show. I used to regularly watch it and like it when I was younger, but I don't remember enough of it to be able to accurately compare it to shows such as The Office.

I could have perhaps liked it if I didn't despise French Stewart.

Oh yea, I always really liked Third Rock from the Sun! It's one of those rerun shows I'll watch over most anything else that's on at the same time.

The Middle, Modern Family, Everybody loves Raymond, Big Bang, Seinfeld, According to Jim.

This one! Can't believe I forgot it!

In order of how much I like them. Only my favorite 5

1. Seinfeld
2. The Office
3. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
4. Curb Your Enthusiasm
5. Everybody Loves Raymond

Everybody Loves Raymond is by no means a great show. It's a good show, but just good enough. It's enjoyable completely mindless television. When I am at home during the day with nothing to do, it's my fallback show of choice, if only because it's tolerable and on for about three hours straight during the week days.

In short, the terribleness of day time television makes this slightly better than mediocre show seem great. I really feel like I shouldn't be nearly as attached to this show as I am.

Ooh new series of Peep Show starts in 2 weeks!!!

Gilligan's Island - silly, good-natured fun. Overseas, Are You being Served? and the short follow-up Grace and Favor.

My opinion is probably a minority. Horror of horrors, I never cared for Seinfeld.
