To the new players:

The biggest pitfall for most people so far seems to be production capacity. Each building/unit has a PC requirement to be built. You must have at least that much PC in the city you are building said building/unit in on the turn you build it. PC does not bank or transfer between cities. PC can be gained through mines, quarries, and some civics. It is typically an expensive investment, but having more PC than is required for a building/unit results in a 5% discount per surplus PC (max of 50%) (there is a PC discount calculator in your stats - scroll to the top-left).

Second most common pitfall is the cost of workforces. Most buildings need a workforce to produce food/gold/PC. The workforces get more expensive as you purchase more. It sucks is a balancing mechanism, get used to it.

[TECH]

Spending RP on tech:

Any benifts (besides removing "national stamp") if I "spend RP on technology, that was aquired through trade?

Ex: Spending RP to "create own" (removing Syrii) civil service?

Tech tree is not complete (there are more techs in description than on tree), correct? When is the tree going to be updated?

[civics]

Communal work camps:

costs 2 gold per city and 1 gold per march and outpost. (Per turn or addition to cost if I adopt this)?

-------------
[Resources]
(inn building descr.) OR _hemp_, cheese, linen cloth OR silk cloth OR _hemp cloth_

If I got (1 source) hemp and I am manufacturing cloth out of it, both of these can be used same time? (one or both can be traded out while used or ?)?
...........

What is the use of finished products/crafts? Can I produce 3 leatherCrafts (made up resource) out of 1 leather resource?

----------

@Hbar, thanks for tips, I (personally) find production cap. bit weird but.

Built buildings do not use Production cap. Correct?

EDIT 2
Lore questions:

Elven age - since begging of Ice age, how many elves have walked on Erbus? (how many generations have passed?)

What races are "in" 'tates? I assume - human, elven, centaurs and lamia (wiki) any other?
Centaurs control military, lamia magic and ... who control: Diplomaticy, trade, city management etc?.

Yes, producing something out of a resource does not use up that resource; nor does trading. For example: if I have a Clay Quarry, I can make Pottery, Bricks, and have a Clay trade route, all from the same clay quarry.

You cannot have multiple 'copies' of the same resource in the same province. So, building two clay quarries in one province does nothing (you still get the gold and PC, but not an extra 'clay').

You cannot use the same resource twice in a trade route from a province (i.e. you can't have two Clay trade routes coming from the same clay quarry). If you have more than one province that produces the same resource, they each can export it.

So, for the inn, if you had both a hemp plantation and a linen loom, they would each provide the bonus.

PC is only used when constructing buildings/units. It is not needed to maintain them (thank god).

@ Northen Wolf:
The lamias and centaurs have not be uncovered yet... i never spoke of them and they weren't really a bit thing for me when i 'played' the kurios... its up to you what role they have in your society... its your kuriotates after all... you can say they are powerful group with their own ambitions, very small group, or simply don't exist on 'this erebus'.
Regarding the elves and how many generations:
maybe a half dozen?

per turn.. thats the downside of taking care of and sheltering all those dispicables.

and thanks for stepping up HBar.

Masaki Honshu, Seventh of the Nine Pools and Personal Assistant to Yoshi-kami, feared little. It was a byproduct of the second birth, the baptism of the sea that killed so many and chose so few. The immersion in seawater took only seconds, but for the chosen time ceased to have meaning, revealing the horrid backdrop of a cruel universe. An eternity of uncomprehending terror, visions of unknowable dimensions, strange creatures the size of continents with tentacles that squeezed every drop of fresh mind from a now hollow vessel. Upon waking, the chosen’s mind must forget what it has seen in order to function in an orderly world, but every night brings a return to that incomprehensible realm beyond the thin veil of perception.

Given time, a chosen is afraid of nothing at all.

But now, for the first time in years, Masaki felt fear. Yoshi-kami was dying and the priests of the Undertow did not seem to care. It had been 177 years since the hurricane, and Yoshi had been the guidance of the Kappa the entire time. Everyone simply assumed that he could not die, that he somehow ascended to the spirit realm while keeping his body intact. He did not age, and he did not tire, but now, after leading the fight against the hungry dead for 75 years, he lay still in his pool, barely breathing. The chamber priest simply wandered about in the disjointed, unoccupied way of the Lillied, not even noticing his surroundings.

As Masaki watched the lifeforce drain from the immortal warrior-king, he began to shudder uncontrollably. All they had worked towards depended on the unflinching will of one Kappa, and it would soon be unraveled…

At the sound of Yoshi’s death rattle, the priest sprung into action. He threw Masaki across the room and unsheathed his dagger. Masaki rose to fight him, but was pinned down by two Kappa acolytes. He watched in horror as the priest carved nameless runes into Yoshi’s forehead. With the last rune carved, an unnatural green light seemed to emanate from his mind’s water. Petal by petal, as if emerging from a deep fog, a lily appeared in Yoshi’s headbowl. The priest cut the flower loose at the roots and turned to Masaki. Suddenly, Masaki understood. How ‘Yoshi’ had lived so long as entire generations passed away. He ceased struggling and locked eyes with the priest.

“Will I still know myself?” he asked.

“Fool, you never did. Now you will know the Overlords. Through them, you will see that there never was any ‘self’ to speak of. Submit, and overcome!”

The priest placed the lily in Masaki’s head and began carving the same runes in reverse order. As Masaki’s screams reverberated through the subterranean caverns, his body began to morph into the exact likeness of the corpse lying still in the pool.

Yeah- me too- is this a civic change?

Nope, just an explanation of how Yoshi has been around for almost 200 years. I was originally going to have him die, but I liked the character too much.

I've been reading some Lovecraft in between working on my finals for inspiration. This certainly won't be my last entry before the Bard Competition deadline. :mischief:

Walking trough the valley of Kraah

It was the first time for him that he walk through the paths of the capital of the Corbus. He was the son of a farmer on the northern isle. There he had learned a lot about cultivating hemp. They even had geese on his fathers farm.
But now he was send to the great city of Kraah. Do bring a personal letter to his uncle.

He knew tales about the town. Since he was young he had listened to the wispering about the beauty of the capital in the trees.

All the chirping about the different looking corbus turned out to be true. There where more corbus he ever imagined. Some where as black as the night. Others where a bit more greyish, just like him and the people from his town. There even where some with a bright white breast.

The cippering about the big nests, which he never could imagine, was true as well. There where trees filled from the massive trunk to the airy crown with houses, nests, huts, all squezzed closely together.

Over his head, there where corbus gliding from crown to crown. There was a constant twitter. From inside the nests. There was so much to see, so much to hear...

PS: sorry, about the unrefined writing...

Submitting orders on Friday is fine for me. These are always very high quality updates, I can understand why you need the time to work on them.

My only request is could we move the recon orders to an earlier day, maybe Wednesday?

If I got that correctly, Grigori stepped out of Three Nations alliance?

Military units population requirement - does it remove population from province it is drafted from? (I hope not)

To have metal(bronze), I require both casserite mine/resource and copper mine/resource and somekinda smelter?

Going to work on understanding of magic and science now :P (Yes, I'm slow)

I don't know what that was supposed to mean Charles, but so far as I'm aware it was neither to or from a member of the League. I also find it very difficult to imagine something like that coming from hbar or Northen Wolf, so if you'd like to elaborate that would be great. I would advise the League against trying to trade with the Grigori.

If I understand the rules correctly, you will get the pre-requisite tech this turn and the tech it is required for next turn. That's how tech trading works. For example, if I was to trade for Writing and Apprenticeship I would get Apprenticeship first, and then the following turn I would get Writing.
