Also please note that i don't know the lore too well and i had to come up with specific bits of history for this NES and sometimes they are very divergeant from the lore.

some of you may know that fairly recently Kael wrote a story describing the fall of the gods and Os-Gabella's creation. That story pretty much says that all the evil gods save Bhall fell simoultaneously. Previously, i had, for whatever reason, thought that Agares fell first and the other gods in the centuries thereafter.

Even though i now know better and the lore has been 'fixed' in my mind, for the purposes of this NES the evil gods all fell at various times throughout the earlier ages (though none later than very early into the age of magic and most in the age of dragons) for what it matters.

The city watch improvement provides an extra defender (slinger, javilineer, archer) once your city is at size 12. Considering you then get two guaranteed defenders with no upkeep for the cost of one unit, and you get to move your armies without worrying about leaving a defense force, I'd say that's a pretty big advantage.

And skeletons aren't the only things you can make out of extra people...

Also, if you are finding a perk 'unreachable', you didn't invest in growth. Some of us are finding it perfectly reachable.

Especially if you are running Slavery/Welfare/Granary and having Breeding Programs in Slavery. (N-5)^2 15 pop growth is only 100 instead of 256 food!!!

time for more clarifications.

i've been making a mess of the 'naturalizing/integrating' technology thing and telling people its 1/3 the cost of researching it yourself. Someone was kind enough to point out that the rules say its actually 30% of the cost, not 33%, and so thats what it costs: 30% of the base value.
