[MOD] FFH TweakMod

I got a CTD with the Elohim in my game last night, but it was unrepeatable, and didn't save the save. It was too late. So there may be an Elohim issue of some sort, though it may have been due to me giving the Elohim a city.

BTW, is there a way to remove a holy city's religion? I really wish we could do that.

Maybe give that to high priests, and something from Esus?

IDK, I think maybe sacrificing a high priest, or better yet sacrificing a Patriach, should be able to remove the holy city of a rival religion.

A Holy City is different. It doesn't necessarily signify the presence of the religion. Rather, it's a special place for the religion. A good real life example is Mecca. It's an integral part of Islam. It doesn't matter who controls the city, and if Crusaders took it over, they couldn't decide it suddenly wasn't the holy city of Islam.

what about being able to remove the holy city once the rest of the religion is wiped out? Or, oppositely, if a holy city is destroyed, a new city built in the same location would once again be a holycity.

It gets curiouser and curiouser. I've got two Windows XP's installed on my comp, SP1 and SP2. When using the Elohim features on SP1, it CTD's, but SP2 continues on perfectly fine.

but how many times was Carthage razed? I believe it was only after the Romans sprinkled salt over the entire area that it lost its symbolic power for the people there.

Is Unrestricted Leaders working for anyone else? Because it isn't working for me =/ Not sure if I should take this to the main mod's bug thread or if it's something within this mod... or if it's even just me. Not sure, anyone else?

Something wrong's going on with game options. Apparently, selecting the following (see attachment) selects Increasing Difficulty as well (note the red Difficulty-Immortal text above the scoreboard). I selected Monarch at startup.

EDIT: replacing the Civ4GameOptions file with the original one seems to work fine.

I've checked them with winmerge for differences and the "lead any civ" option has been moved to a different location and changed description tags for no maintenance, no ww and no inflation options.

My guess would be that the relocation of "lead any civ" is causing this.

but how many times was Carthage razed?

Carthage was razed (eg. burned to the ground) exactly once, during the 3rd Punic War. The closest Rome came to Carthage in the first two wars was Zama, roughly 20 miles south of Carthage, for the battle that ended the 2nd Punic War. Rome never landed anywhere near Carthage during the 1st Punic War.

Wasn't Carthage destroyed by the Arabs at conquest?

New forests do not upgrade into forests. It's been a few hundred turns and not a single change.

Sure, although I've upgraded them with WB there are still plenty of new forests in unowned tiles where it was placed by a mapscript (Erebus continents) and I've bloomed a few more later around newer cities. Ljosalfar land after their worldspell is also fubar.

That wasn't Carthage. Just in the same area.

That was.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carthage

After the Third Punic War, the city was destroyed by the Romans in 146 BC. However, the Romans refounded Carthage, which became one of the three most important cities of the Empire and the capital of the short-lived Vandal kingdom. It remained one of the most important Roman cities until the Muslim conquest when it was destroyed a second time in AD 698.

Patch F for regular FFH is out, doesn't seem like anything to affect this mod, but haven't checked in detail yet. Should be safe to patch up if you're using this.
