have you ever tried using tremor on a (mostly)1 move army while you mop it up with a hero? : P
Have you ever tried using a tsunami or meteor storm or pillar of fire on an army with any number of moves while you mop it up with a hero?

i guess it would work better as a 2nd sphere metamagic spell(as planned?)
but then what spell would there be for earth three?

i still want a hill maker spell.. really doesnt seem too crazy since theres ways of making most other terrain.

would be nice if ashen veil gave access to a spell that creates fallout (and fallout is a feature, so it removes forests and floodplains.. pretty powerful ability that would be, good times)

imagine turning an elfs plains/hill/ancientforest/town into a desert/hill/fallout with some pillaging and 2 spells (the fallout one and the fire I spell)

what about making the Rituals easier to build.
not by making them cheaper, maybe adding an option that allows cities to help build the Rituals, by assigning their hammer to the city that is building it.
That way your whole Empire could build the Ritual.
It would still be an enormous effort to build it, but i think it would spice up the endgame a bit, which tends to be a bit dull at the moment.

i like that idea. atm it takes way too long to build them (the tech requirements are already hard enough, but the you add a long long long time), empire wide building of a ritual would be very very interesting.

though i still think there needs to be more early rituals.

3 ways i can think of to do that

1)building smaller versions in multiple cities, and each one built increases the rate at which the main building is done

2)building a base building in cities like the wonders you need multiple of something for, like youd need to have built a mini-ritual #1 in 10 cities and then you can build the main ritual fairly quickly in a city.

3)somehow make the other cities contribute to the main one

i agree, more early rituals would be great, and some way to break em with metamagic :)

Just
1) create a Caravan unit that gives its full hammer value to hurry production
and
2) make it possible to hurry ritual production like you can with buildings and wonders, or if that it isn't possible change all the rituals back into world wonders

And go back to Civ 2 caravan spam? Ewwww.

Typhoid Mary was just made at year 60 in a normal speed Monarch game I was playing... :crazyeye: Could something possibly be done to make the AI favor that tech path a tiny bit less?

The Arcane Barge never required fire mana - at least, as far back as I can remember complaining about it. :)

Perhaps, to add to my previous suggestions on the topic, arcane barges should be treated as adepts and actually choose their own spell promotions based on mana resources.

Well, only a few adept spells would be useful on ships. Some changes will probably be made eventually, but profound ship changes aren' likely to be soon.

Although summon undead ship would be so cool.

not trading mana would be good i think, before it was useful, now i cant see any good reason to trade unless you have more then 4 or 5 of one.. and really, at that point you should have just picked different nodes
Yay, I like it when people agree with me! :mischief:

Speaking of which, I agree with the hill-making for Earth III. Tremor is, well, lame, and dwarves don't get easy access to Vitalize. Giving them high-level terraform would be good. If you made it possible to go both ways (i.e., turn hills to flatlands), then this could also prove useful to non-Runes followers (I've occasionally had cities surrounded by hills they couldn't possibly all use).

Short of capturing Druids, I'm not sure. Can they get Vitalize if they follow Fellowship of Leaves?
