FfH2 0.16 Bug Thread

A quick question: are the lizard folk (barb units) considered orc or animals when it comes to getting combat bonuses against them?

Hi,

reproducable OOS here. I'm playing FFH 0.16i with a friend. I'm Khazad. Every time I spend money to finish a building, we get an OOS.

I can confirm that! :cry:

Since version 2.016h an OOS-error occurs later in the game (around turn 80)
again and again. Relogging to it helps, but some turns later it reappears.
We tried several (!) 5 player games (2 humans and 3 AI on a small ballanced map) :sad:

It seems that my OOS-error occurs because I did NOT use the english language first.
Now I swichted to english and everything works fine in multiplayermode... :-)

Pretty sure we didn't have taverns in either of those games.
 
Another small bug with loki:
When loki provokes a revolt in a city with zero culture you get this city as intented however if loki provokes a revolt in a city where you have a higher culture rating then the owner (and thus a %per that it revolts) nothing happens.
 
That is strange, FfH doesn't change the rush code. hmm...

Does the OOS force you to reload? Or what do you have to do after you get it?

The way we resolve the OOS is by having one of us rejoin. It's alright after that until the next time someone hurries something.
 
My soldiers of Kilmorph all start with 6XP but my axemen all start with 4 XP (conquest + apprenticeship). I don't have training yards and I couldn't work out what was giving them the +2 XP. :confused: BTW that SoK is from another city.
 
I hope this doesn't sound too bizarre or, if it has been answered before I apologize..

I have a stack of units lined up about to attack a city on the tile right next to the city. On either side of the tile are tiles with roads.

When I try to have one of my units directly attack the city, he takes one of the roads, attacks, and often runs out of moves leaving the unit away from the stack and easily attacked by the enemy.

Why can't the unit attack the next tile (the city) without using the road and possibly running out of movement pts.?

Uh, clear???

I have that problem too and not just with cities. Try just moving to a square next to the unit and it will move diagonally to a road then into the square I wanted- wasting movement points.
 
Govannon has a really useful skill there, and it produces som oddities. Using trainer on certain units can have interesting effects.

1: He trained a warrior to use haste. The warrior was later sacrificed to create a Drown and promoted to Stygian guard. Now he receives free experience because Styggies are disciple units. It rules, but it's broken. Savant starts gaining experience automatically if trained as well.

2: After training priests, they gain access to all the level one adept spells which they don't normally have even though they have the promotions for it. This one I like. Why shouldn't they be able to cast charm person if they have Mind I after all?

I think this is a Vanilla civ issue. It happens when the unit has more than one movement point and goes from a square without a road to a square that has a road that costs more than one movement. This doesn't normally apply to attacking, but if your unit has commando it will. I take it the city is on a hill?
 
Not sure if this is intentionnal :

Playing as Lanun (neutral) , make a defensive pact and open borders with two GOOD civilization . I convert to octopuss overlords and asks the two good civilizations to convert octopuss ... they becomes neutral alignment .

But as soon i use Death , Entropy . I get a -4 to diplomacy for each .

bug or not bug , that is the question ?
