FfH2 0.30 Bug Thread

Tried to identify the problem...no results...

changed the research...nope
deleted all barb city (assuming it might be the spawning Archeron)...nope
no one is building anything special, no great wars or anything...

any ideas?

The Sheaim want to build on a mana node in the south east of their territory but there's a barbarian bear in the way. Remove the bear and you should be able to continue.
 
Okey, I have mentioned it before (and others) but I do think that the there should be majority voting in the councils, as it is now 0 votes is needed to win if you are alone or 2 votes if you have 5 members.
 
The ghost in this city has hidden and is my enemy, yet shows up in the unit list.

They're just meant to be little bonuses. If you're relying on em to win, I think you're in trouble
I think he meant that the resources spawned too much, so that what normally feels special was no longer so. Maybe it's not well balanced for game speed? I don't know, but that's more of a balance thing.
 
It used to do this, but was switched for the current system back in Light. I can't recall why, but I'm sure there's a reason.

Probably because if you had 4 mages casting fireballs that weren't grouped it became a pain in the ass if you wanted all the fireballs cast before you started moving them.

- The Mercurian Gate can be built before the Infernals enter the world.
- Svartalfar elf workers can build lumbermills.
 
Playing as svartalfar , i build a little army of nyxkin in order to pillage my neighbourg ( don't know if hidden unit can pillage is intended ) . I put all my units at the frontier . I begin the project birthright regained and use veil of night one turn before it is finished . My units gain hidden nationality ( i remove HN from all my city units ) . The turn after i finish the ritual but i can't cast veil of night again .

I'm not a member of any counsil (I dont even got the techs) and still voting appers to me. I just conquer Sheelba, who was CoE founder/member.

Funnily I can propose and even vote for "stop trading with <me>". And it works, lol.

Load attached savegame, hit end turn button, wait a minute or so (doh) and voting popup should appear.

- Blight destroys mana bindings (ie you can build new mana after Blight).
 
For a really, really exploitative game, use the Lanun's world spell on the first turn of an archipelago map. It kills half the starting settlers from the other civs, wiping them out before their first turn. Might I recommend having the spell require Fishing, or just disable its use in the first few turns?
 
The Malakim refused to pick up Orthus's Ax, and it was sitting in the middle of thier lands. i just walked up with a hunter and took it for my own.

also, (as svartalfar) the two times i cast spring, the screen went black for a good five minutes...
 
I think it was already mentioned but orthus' axe is still having problems staying in the game if the holder dies.
 
Caste System is not providing bonuses to specialists. The bonuses show up when you mouse over the specialist itself, but when you mouse over the totals on the left, it does not add the bonuses into the total. This is particularly noticeable when mousing over the culture bar, as it will, for instance, not show any culture added from specialists if you only have the Caste System bonuses contributing (i.e. no bards).

I've checked the culture increase from turn to turn to make sure it isn't a display error on the totals side (the science is a bit trickier to work out), and the bonus from culture is definitely not being applied. I would imagine the science bonus is similarly lacking, as my research seemed to take a definite dip when I switched over, though that could have been related to other civic changes I suppose.

Have played 2 games on patch C so far to turn 100 each. I am playing on a huge map with 19 civs and 38 starting barbarian cities. Typically Acheron and his Hoard are built between turns 9 and 12, but so far on the new patch he is not being built at all. Which also means as i am playing as the Sheaim in tonights game, no cult of the dragon either, the 1 time i actually would like to see it in the world :(
Also, Baron has been unable to convert any of his defeated units into new werewolves for me either.

I'm on my 3rd game, 200 turns into it, and no Acheron. Not sure if a certain event has to happen for Acheron is to appear. Anybody know?

Baron does that same thing for me but, I think I read in a previous thread that it's now set up to be a % chance of turning. Not sure what the % is.:confused:
