FfH2 0.30 Bug Thread

I'm on my 3rd game, 200 turns into it, and no Acheron. Not sure if a certain event has to happen for Acheron is to appear. Anybody know?

Baron does that same thing for me but, I think I read in a previous thread that it's now set up to be a % chance of turning. Not sure what the % is.:confused:

For Acheron to appear i think it is timed, so it would probably scale with gamespeed ?? And it also requires a barbarian city, so if there are no barb cities left then there is no chance of Acheron spawning.

The Baron's percentage chance of converting enemy units is 25%

Good answer! Now that I recall, there were no active barb cities and thanks for letting me know about % chance.:goodjob:
 
Has anyone else noticed that the game crashed alot after a while. When the game makes a CTD, I start over and use a quicksave (I quicksave every turn thanks to this) and then I can play for one or alot of turns then suddenly it crashed again.

I have a save but perhaps it is pointless because if I save right before I should end turn and it crash, if I start over from that save, it doesn't crash.

Something I have noticed about this is when I played Svartalfar (Esus) and used my shadows masked (HN) the game crashes alot, but when I unmasked them it didn't. Perhaps it is the same now (I don't play Esus now, but other civs in the game are).

When it starts to crash it usually crash ever (other) turn or so, but then suddenly it stops and I can play for another 30 turns whitout any crashes.

Yesterday I played the dwarves and it ended up quite boring (too easy, everyone was good except me (neutral) and one other that was ashes). No one in that game was esus so no one had any shadows. That game didn't crash once. And yes I won.
 
I'm only on patch a, but:

1. I can't remember the wonder, but I believe it's "Pact of the Nilholm" or something like that. After I get the giants, I can't group them with like or unlike units. only after I declare nationality and go to next turn can I group them.


2. Evangelism still doesn't work for me (Sphener doesn't spread Order when taking a city). Is it no longer in the game?

This is intended, hidden nationality units cannot be grouped becuase it cuased issues when the AI tried to group them with non Hidden Nationality units.
 
I have been playing Kurios and want to second the question about the Kurios Sprawling Trait. Is it not granting the augmented growth radius?

I am using .30c
 
Terra map (Huge) with Barbarian World enabled. All barb cities were put on an ice island, and not a single barb city was put on the 'Old' or 'New' World.

Btw, why does it say Wolf under every guild icon in the Guild screen?

Game locks after turn 189. Patch c, save attached.

edit: it would be really cool, if i could pcontinue this game...was one of the best starts ever (3 gold in fatX)...any help would appreciated...

This will be fixed in patch "d". Its being caused by a very confused barbarian bear that for some reason is sitting right in the middle of the sheaim empire and has no place to run to.

The Elohim have used their "Sanctuary" world spell. It will wear off in time.

The corp screen expects that a unit can found every guild. It cycles through each and being unable to find one (since we dont let units found guilds in the traditional manner in FfH) it ends with the last unit in the list, the wolf. I need to clean it up but its a pretty minor issue at the moment.
 
In further news of specialist bonus woes, the Scholarship civic does not grant the +1 science to each specialist. Once again, the bonus shows up on the specialist itself, but not in the totals. The +10% to science is apparently working and does show up in the totals.

Also, the +5% bonus to GP production granted by Spirit mana doesn't seem to be working. Once again, appears when you mouse over the resource in the city screen, but does not show up when you mouse over the GP progress bar.

Interestingly enough, the +1 science bonus from The Great Library is working fine. :)
 
Just a small issue to point out. Start a game on settler difficulty and get mining instead of crafting.

Patch C:

I'm stuck 'Waiting for Civilizations' on this saved game.

This is being caused by excessive inflation. It will be fixed in patch "d".
 
sorry for the dumb question, but:

1. "GFC error: failed to initialaize the primary control theme" error loading the mod. You will recieve this error if FfH isn't installed in the correct location (under Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods). If you don't have Civ4 installed to that location just make sure the FfH is installed in the same directory as Final Frontier, Age of Ice and the other mods that came with BtS.

I have MS Vista, and for the life of me, I can't find this directory (with FF and Age of Ice)- does it have a special name? My computer for some reason has separated BtS from the Firaxis folder, so in order to try to load this mod, I had to put it in the same directory as some other custom BtS mods like Diversica, and I still get this error.
 
This is a strange error I'm getting. When I end my turn a barbarian settler starts blinking forever and it never comes back to my turn. I have attached my save.

Im unable to reproduce this with patch "d". Its probably one of the issues that have already been fixed.

@desemondez: ill fix that event in patch "d".
 
Ver. C Clan of Embers

I had the bandits are stealing food event and only had one one option that wasn't gray (the spend 5 gold option). Couldn't send troops even though the city was garrisoned, couldn't ignore the problem, and couldn't make a deal with the Ratcatchers (I had the guild in my city).

Edit: I had the same event later in the game, but this time all of the options were available.
