FfH2 0.30 Bug Thread

1. If you pop that first hut with your Settler, you will get either a map or gold, usually low.
Don't know if it's possible to pop hostiles, but I know a number of the possibles (like tech) are barred until you found a city; in those situations where you can pop a hut on turn one with the scout it's almost always best to settle first. Similarly, you can just let your borders pop huts near the start unless it's a crowded map and not run the risk of hostiles AFAIK.

Not sure if this is intended. Playing as Clan with the Warrens. I had conquest, apprenticeship + command post. The 1st unit I produced got 6 xp, but the 2nd unit (from the warren) got 0 xp.

I also agree with a recent post the Acheron should be immune to fire. It really didn't bother me in the past, but after reading about Acheron on the FFH II website (http://phrasr.com/ffh/pedia.php?p=UNIT_ACHERON), it would seem that fire should do no damage, IMO.

according to the civilopedia, acheron has magic immunity, which includes immunity to fire. Its already there, the problem being, resistences and immunities don't seem to be working. they are calculated into the chances listed for when you go to attack, but can't possibly be applied to the combat results, or atleast applied correctly.

just as laughably bad is the four horsemen who fell in short order to a handful of specters in my last game(f). as did more than a few golems(also immune to death)

was really hoping that fix would make it in, must not be a particularly clean or easy one to implement.

Dwarven Boar Riders upgrade to Chariots, which have less strength, and this means they're not buildable in cities with seige workshops.

Patch 'g'

Mine resource discover rate (or just display) is bugged. It might just be that my installation is corrupted.

30g: Adventurer-adepts have two free promos as well as adventurer-mages and adventurer-archmages.

Hello...

Now I have two occasions where the game crashed upon Basium entering the world.

One game he was build by the AI and immediately he started declaring war on everybody. Right after this the game exited. That was in 0.30f.

The other game I build him myself using slaves. He entered the wolrd and started declaring wars left and right. Immediately after this, the game exited. This was with the latest patch 0.30g

I'm pretty sure that this must be a bug. I'm attaching the 0.30g save game for your pleasure. Both games are on large maps with around 10-12 civs.

With one of the new Balseraph event, I can get a carnival for free. Not that there's anything wrong with that. ;)

.30g

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but are the Balseraph/Calabim/Khazad events supposed to trigger even when that civ isn't even in the game? It doesn't make much sense, especially since the Calabim one has no drawback if the Calabim aren't in the game.

Something is odd with building iron golems as luchirp. I still get the "requires mithril" message, and cannot build then upon reaching iron working. I know this isn't exactly correct, because sometime time later they become buildable, even though I do not have anything beyond iron working.

30g.

Infernals do not get demontic citizens/any buildings at all in captured cities, not sure about settled ones (I quelled the resistance.) I am not getting manes from fighting veil worshippers either. Diseased corpses are getting -30% diseased in combat.

.30g got the infernals, it started me without a city but inside a barbarian cities cultural borders, and with only 1 settler. quickly moved and placed the settler. city was only size 1, thought all settler were supposed to pop size 3 cities? quickly declared war on the hippus, (khazad were too strong) took over a size 2 city which fell to a size 1 but no demonic citizens building or any way to build one? then razed a size 4 city and only got 1 mane, dissapointed, then razed a size 10 city and only got 1 mane, outraged!! if my best cities are produced by my settlers are not by conquering(demonic citizens/planar gate, etc) and my best source of manes are supposed tobe by razing are these bugs i am seeing or is this intended?

Is it indented that when you build the merc gate, that Basium does not take control of the city that built it, but rather just gets a few angles and the Basium unit? I had a game where I created the gate, and before I was even given the chance to take control of Basium he got himself killed by trying to attack the infernals (who were right next door).

Patch g:
The following python error ocurred but no crash.

@subanark: Correct, Basium doesn't get the city with the gate for free automatically. He is able to cast a spell that grants him control of any city with the Mercurian Gate in it. Typically he will use this spell before the player is able to swap to controlling him, so it is a transparent process normally. But in some cases he won't cast it for various reasons. Yours is the first I heard of where he died that quickly though :)

neither I nor my friend can get priests of leaves Bloom spell to work anymore.. the spell is there but greyed out no matter where the priest is..

Is the Calabim refugees event supposed to come up so often that by turn 300 in a marathon game most other civ's have a -24 or higher(lower?) past events modifier from them? I personaly got it at least 8 times and they where appearing so often at one point i was seeing 2-3 a turn(on other civ's) for a while including calabim to calabim(only one calabim civ in the game).
