FfH2 0.30 Bug Thread

I dunno if this is intended or a bug, but when you get two units from Clan warrens only one of the units starts with XP (from apprentice, etc).

Also, I'm not sure if Barbatos is working properly. He spawned but I never saw him summon anything or attack units that came near.
 
I'm not having very good luck with Shadow. :(

First, I made the mistake of uninstalling Warlords to free up needed disk space. This caused all sorts of problems and forced me to reinstall all the software, patches, mods, etc. from scratch.

Second, I started having very long times between turns. I was playing on Huge maps, and this improved since I went down to Large maps. However, usually once per turn there is a latency of 10 seconds or so when I double click on a city or hit SPACE to cycle to another unit. Never saw this before.

Third, yesterday I had the LOAD problem I noted here earlier.

Finally, I started a new game, and it is not even turn 300 yet and Ethne the White has more than a 250 pt lead over my Sheaim civ (Epic speed) in 2nd place. The reason seems to be the Elohim producing a Great Engineer every 15-20 turns. I think this was noted before, but I didn't see a fix for it in Patch H.

Time to start yet another game. I've started a dozen or so Shadow games and been able to finish only one!
 
When using blaze in Forests/jumgle it seems that barb units can walk through the flames whereas your units cant.... cant even target barbs in the flames. I thought this was down to Orcish fire resistance but then a barb skeleton did it too!

Is this a bug or intended? As I quite like to blaze jungle and use the flames as cover for an expansion into the nice new shiny forest.

and I still got Celabim sanctuary event even when no vampires are in game. I also got Belseraph carneval event and no Bels as well.

Everybody knows the Govannon teaching a Ranger, upgrade to Druid, become Lich trick for Amurites.

Now with a new twist! Make sure that Ranger has Council of Esus religion and before upgrading to Druid cast Mask. You now will have a Hidden Nationality Lich with all three types of spells.

Right now the Unit Religion is lost on upgrades, but that doesn't matter as the Hidden Nationality is kept.

Note that Mask doesn't even require the State Religion to be Council. I don't know if that's a bug, as Steal does require it. Even if that was changed, it would only be a small problem easily overcome.

Devout (Elohim) can upgrade to Priests/Archpriests/Inquisitors
Scouts of course can upgrade into the horseman tree.
Assassins into Hidden Nationality Marksman.
 
I just recently bought and installed BtS. I downloaded and installed FfH2 v.30. It looks like everything installed correctly. I no longer see the burning angel when I load up the mod on the main screen. How long has this been not there? Is this right? Also, when I start a game the cool splash screens are no longer present. Am I doing something wrong, or is this how it is suppose to be since the last version I played was on vanilla Civ4 and FfH2 v.23? Any info would be appreciated.

It seems that there is a problem with the insertion of the German translation . I don't play in German , but while doing the list of description , i've got that for an example : ( the list for the 5 languages )

IIRC the title screen is gone since BtS. In the options you can set which title screen to use: vanilla (the Earth), Warlords (the warrior with his blade), and BtS. Maybe we can make one for FFH later on.

The splash screens (and the tips) are gone, replaced by a FFH intro movie. Looks like you have movies disabled in your settings.

Vampires can be upgaraded to Paladins. Even that is bizzarre combination I used (Calabim with Order!) it still seems somewhat odd. Vampiric paladins :) Its propably ok to build both Vampires and Paladins, but upgrade should not be possible, imho.

Okay, I'll bite. I downloaded 2.30 and it pretty much crashed on trying to run the game. Right now I'm downloading the H patch, but I can't seem to find where to download the G patch that I missed since the F patch is the last one I had.

I'm running XP on a laptop if that matters.

You only need the latest patch. so if you install h it doesn't matter whether you a,b,c or whaterever before as long as its the right number (0.30).
 
Next game, same problem. Just 8 turns into the game we get an OOS again. This is really frustrating, until patch F the game was running stable and we had some great mp games, with 3 and sometimes even more people. Has anyone had the same problems?
 
I have plantated Incense, connected to capital, have the tech and still no Incense resource in my cities. Also on hovering the mouse over the plantation, the popup says "Incense (Varn Gosan has 0)".
Tried dropping incense on my cities in WBD, but still I have none.


EDIT: Incense appeared in my cities after a number of turns (more than 10 I believe). Still don't know what caused that.

It's not stated anywhere, but you actually need philosophy to use incense.
 
In the Balseraphs Carnival event - the prompt gives the option to create a carnival. When this option is selected, it not only builds the carnival, but also gives the +1 happy for 10 rounds result - which is not indicated that it should at the prompt.

Haven't been following the bug thread for some time. I just got back to running FfH patch h and ran into two problems.

The major issue has to do with pestilence. The event instantly wiped out 100% of my living units (non-living = canons, treants, and ships). This event is totally broken. Never did that before. :(

The other problem is about the Overcouncil. I dropped out of the council and select "none", and I ended up heading the Undercouncil instead. It came up as a "United Nations" vote. Several turns later, I resumed membership of the Overcouncil and as a result, became part of both the Over and Under councils.

Patch h looks great, but unfortunately it seems to have added some new bugs (that I am aware of anyway).

Found out what happened -- it was the Worldbreak spell. Way out of control. The AC was at about 50. Units should have been damaged about 40-60%. Instead ALL units got damaged 100%. Nuts...

I am playing the h patch right now and have noticed a few things.

1. Revealed copper and got both mine and road to it but not getting it to show up as me having copper

2. Playing Cardith Lorda on Marathon speed and haven't gotten a chance to do his adaptive trait yet (turn 284 so far)

3. Captured a giant spider, revealed his nationality and still having Barbarians walk into his plot (it is Warriors I have seen so far do this). This is while the spider is inside my culture borders.

4. also the incense thing but see that was talked about above.
