FfH2 0.34 Bug Thread

Please care about the city, "Coombe View" of Keelyn.
I and Decius both can conquer this city. But whoever gets the city, the game kicks me out.

I'm running vista home premium 32bit. I don't think this has to be something with UAC.

No crash for me.

I've played about 1000 turns combined in three games now, and I have built the Guild of Nine each time and have yet to have a single Guild of Nine event. I have been the first to Sorcery and built many mage guilds and adepts and have yet to see Gaelen or Mary Morbeus. In fact, I have seen very little events at all other than the constellation ones and the broken serial killer one.

Guild of the Nine events are open to all players. Its only the ability to hire mercenaries that comes with the wonder.

Stasis hit me for around 50 turns per usage in a "patch a game" I was playing on Marathon (The first time they used it, I could swear it was on turn 3 or so...I just restarted that particular game >_>). Twice in the first 300 turns within a single game. Ugh. I'm just glad I had some decent defenders in place -- because, of course, the barbs took advantage of the opportunity to invade me en masse.

btw, does Stasis freeze the (NPC) barbs, as well? It doesn't appear to do so, as they were cranking out units just as fast as before the worldspell hit. Is this intentional?

It freezes their ability to build units. But doesnt stop unit spawning like the barbs ability or summons.

Actually, I have found that it is possible for priests of winter to go barbarian. I explored a dungeon with one of them, and there was a message along the lines of

This resulted in a crazed Priest of Winter who became enraged and eventually went barbarian as per the 3% chance. I suppose the same thing could happen to the AI playing as Illians. OR, the Illians could have somehow got ahold of Chaos Mana, which can result in occasional mutations, which in turn results in occasional crazed, etc., etc.

I'm pretty sure it was none of them, as I was playing as the Illians and the barb one had very few promotions/levels and was not named so it was unlikely to have changed to barb...

does the priest of winter have divine ice spells or only the common ice 1 / ice 2 spells like mages ?

I'm sure someone's already pointed this out but you can use treasure chests to contact other civs... WTH? The AI can contact your if they come near a treasure chest from a treasure map that you get from lairs...

Game started under patch b, continued under c.

When Auric ascends, I get this Python Exception:

File CvEventInterface, line 23, in onEvent
File CvEventManager, line 205, in handleEvent
File CvEventManager, line 1068, in onProjectBuilt
AttributeError: CyPlayer object has no attribute 'getRank'

Maybe they were captured

It's probably this:

[*]AI can build High Priests of Winter with No AI Level requirement option enabled (Avahz Darkwood - Post 195)

because I was the Illians and I had all three High Priests of the Hand.

Probably the Illian worldspell.

Research frozen, saying 1 turn for every tech, every turn. Spiritual, so this can't be extremely long anarchy.

I suspect you dont have the latest patch applied since that issue has already been fixed and I cant recreate it on my computer (btw your game made my poor old computer cry, was that every leader in the game?!?)

2 possibles

Dungeons seem to produce a lot of disciples and (this may be related to the first) the AI's don't seem to be researching much in the way of religion, aside from the 3 disciples (I got from 3 lairs in succession, although not on sequential turns) I was able to able to research 3 other religions myself.

@kael: Thanks for the clarification (...and, of course, for this wunnerful moddy thing >_>). I need to get me some Barbari-Raid to kill those blasted things dead. I make a point to obliterate any dungeons and lairs I can find to cut down on the spawns, but it seldom does any good. Come Turn 200 or so on every single game I have played (Marathon), if not sooner, I get about a dozen waves of 3-6 Barb units headed my way. Stasis just makes it worse, because I can't replenish any troopers who bite the big one. On the up side, it's handy for leveling up my garrisons.

I've had that happen, too. Just curious -- can other players/leaders "see" chests that you have been given a map to? I've gotten 3 chests in as many games, they have always been right next to a rival's cultural borders (tho never *within* them, so far). However, the NPC's leave them alone.

The Game freezes every time i finish the ritual the deepening.
it's patch C with mediapack. And it's on vista

As Illians, when capturing a city with a pagan temple/temple of the hand, it does not terraform. Never mind - I just read that this will be fixed in patch d.

That is true. Treasure chests are units and thats how units work. It does seem a little weird but rewriting the contact code around treasure chests isnt going to happen. The same thing has always applied to other forms of equipment as well.

Second try ,but this time with attachement

Runs fine for me. It does take a little while to perform the deepening so you may want to try just waiting a little longer.

Not sure if it's bug or not but i got 2 times an event where my citizen where asking "rightfully" to join another civ when i found those cities and there wasn't even 1% of another civ culture or my city had borders with those civs.
