FfH2 0.34 Bug Thread

Playing as the Lanun, I have tons of units that can walk on water or otherwise attack ships, but I cannot see the combat percentage chances to win/lose when I mouse over the unit and consider an attack.
(Boarding Party, Water Walking units, Guybush Threpwood, etc.)

Using most current version ... 0.34 patch h

If a boarding party attacks from land, the amusing result is the ship on land, and the boarding party standing in the ocean unless there is more than one enemy ship.

Does this defy common sense to anyone else?

As a separate point, shouldn't the boarding party be manning the ship they capture?
(yeah, maybe that doesn't make sense for ships than cannot carry cargo such as a galley without a skeleton crew promotion.)

Maybe the promotion should automatically change to a skeleton crew; you did just take out and kill/capture them all and are putting your own "skeleton" crew in to man the ship. That way there would always be an open berth. You should have to kill any units in transport on the ship as well...

As for the first item, maybe don't allow attacking ships from land?

I reported the same thing when attacking ships with fireballs (#771).

I just experienced something similar when exploring Aifon's Isle. The Isle gave be a free monk but there was no space on my galleon, so the ship sailed away leaving the monk treading water!
At the start of the next turn the monk had been moved to the nearest bit of coastline.

Last Days i tried my first Game with High to Low option. The special Barnaxus-Bug came with my last civ. Switching to luchuirp, and the first i saw was the pieces of Barnaxus. Look around where is my Capitol????

:mad::mad::mad::mad:I have no Capitol only these crappy pieces

i was playing last night on prince, erubus, as the balseraphs. around move 75 i discovered a tech that alowed me to change to a new civic.after my turn of anarchy the tech bar came back but mever moved again, and all my cities refused to grow(no the no growth wasnt activated).i played 20 turns but it didnt resolve itself.im sorry i didnt think to save it for you to look at but i thought id let you know.

Maybe the Illians cast stasis?

Playing as the Calabim on a huge, low-water Erebus map on Noble difficulty, I have units guarding all my fishing and whaling boats (started with drown, later put various ships on the tiles and am now guarding the resources with men-of-war). Throughout the whole game, privateers and pirates with hidden nationality on have been able to nonchalantly sail onto my GUARDED TILES and destroy/pillage my fishing boats while my patrolling crews just smile and wave. They can even finish their turn occupying the tile peacefully with my ship. I have to sail off the tile and re-enter it to attack the privateer, then build another work boat to re-exploit the resource. I can't imagine this is intended and I've never noticed it on a Perfect World map (the type I usually use)...

Have you built Nox Noctis, the Council of Esus Holy Shrine? This gives all your units invisibility within your borders, which allows units to enter tiles occupied by them.

Yes, actually (though my state religion is Overlords). So maybe this is more of a balance issue than a bug. Foreign units still should not be able to destroy my improvements with impunity, especially since the ships are all set to patrol (which is supposed to make them attack units attempting to pillage nearby improvements)...

the patch isn't installing right, i can download but the install doesn't install work :( if someone could plz fix thix. all hail fall from heaven :worship: :worship:

I cannot build the Temple of Kilmorph. The picture of it is just a pink box and when i try to build it the game crashes.

Got an adventurer out of dungeon exploration. He has the HERO promotion and is properly accumulating XP, but he is not receiving the option to "level up" when he gets enough XP. Here is a screenshot showing him at 8 XP but no levelling options presented.

FFH 0.33, patch h, BTS 3.17, Windows Vista.
New game created in 0.33h, with advanced start.

I am able to use the river for trade route, although I do not have the tech for it (supposedly, sailing).

The screenshot shows an active trade route between Hyll and Bruti with no connecting road (road to the river from Bruti creates the link).

My current techs are:

Exploration, Cartography
Ancient Chants

I do not have Fishing or Sailing.

Same game/comp specs as previous post.

My Ljosalfar workers are able to chop forest even though I haven't started down the crafting tech tree yet.

You have to upgrade your adventurer to another unit type before you can spend his XP.

Rivers within your cultural borders are supposed to work like this.

My Ljosalfar workers are able to chop forest even though I haven't started down the crafting tech tree yet.

Bug or feature, this has been around for a long time.

I believe you also have to have enough gold to buy the upgrade.
