FfH2 0.34 Cosmetic Issues

Keeper GFA, was it Lanun territory? Because they start with a tech that lets them see pearls, so like how you see pastures without horses without the animal husbandry tech, you cant see the recourse but you can see the boat.

I know this is from a long time ago, but ancient forests are almost taken out of the tile when you put an improvement on them unless its a mine. Is this intentional? Is there a way to fix it?

You're right Danny. The Lanun must have been taken out by the Malakim before I got there. BTW, I've never seen a pasture without an animal in it.

I've spawned a few ents and messed up some troop movement due to this one. It's rather annoying to have to very carefully hover the mouse over the tiles to see if they have an ancient forest or not.

I have - giant ate my pigs, left the fences behind. He shoulda et them too, giants need their fibre!

The new graphics with the devout make scouts and hunters go from male to female (unless crossdressing). Devout go female to male(unless crossdressing)
Is the creation 3 spell change gender?:mischief::lol::confused:

I wouldn't worry about that. Other fantasy games, HoMM for example, have units that switch their gender when they upgrade (Genies anyone?)

I just noticed that one of the hints that displays while the game is loaded has a grammar error.

"Phalanxes excel are conquering cities," should be "Phalanxes excel at conquering cities,"

Text message I got when I collected my treasure chest (the top center green text).

It might be appropriate to rename "Guardsman" promotion to "Lookout" and require Sentry I as a prereq with the new version.

Reason being, new version the Guardsman himself doesn't actaully defend against the Marksman, he just makes the promotion not work against his stack. So if you have a nearly dead warrior with Guardsman on the tile with 3 Mages and an Axeman, the Axeman can defend against any Marksman units, even though he doesn't have Guardsman himself.

I'd like to ask the Infernal's civ colors to be slightly changed. As it is now, the color is identical to the barbarian civ, and this creates much confusion. If Infernal and Barbarian cities are bordering, the graphic engine will draw borders as if the 2 civs are one, and since Infernals can't be at war with Barbarians, it can result in confusion on which tiles belong to whom, etc. You are forced to mouseover each tile to determine who is the actual owner. Please fix >_<

I am still seeing red or black blobs where units should appear like the attached pic. I never saw these in .33 or previous version.

I'm wondering if there is a fix for these in the works?

Thanks.

Maybe units spawned from lairs should get a random race assigned. It kinda ruins the flavor when every trapped hero and acolyte are the same race as my civ.

Many buttons appear small and/or blurry when seen with low graphic settings. See guide on fixing it here:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=268684

Was this for my 'red blobs?'

If so, I play the game on its highest graphic settings so that isn't it.

Later after several re-loads the red-blobbed Hill Giant went away - replaced by a black-blobbed Horseman.

Seriously, it is a bit annoying and having to keep saving and loading to try and get rid of the blobs is a pain.

I didn't see a civilopedia entry for the Azer.

When attacking an AI Hunter with an HN Hill Giant, the +50% bonus vs animals wasn't listed with the modifiers. It was still counted in the actual numbers.

After adding a Great Prophet to my city, the +2:hammers:; +5:gold: was applied, but the mouse-over on production doesn't itemize the new production total (the way the gold does). The mouse-over of production should have listed both the "base" and the +2:hammers:. Instead it just listed it as a newly increased total production, or "base" value.
Thanks!

Concerning the Svartalfar one thing always disturbs me: The male voices. I always have the feeling to play some transsexuals if I click on a Svartalfar unit (Nothing's wrong with the arts. The arts of Svartalfar are awsome. It's just the voices that kinda disturb the feeling of the sneaky, dangerous, but sexy nightelfs). It would be nice if someone found some fitting female voices.
