FfH2 Bug Thread

Noticed this in last patch but never got around to commenting on it.
Casting direct damage spells (ring of fire, tsunami, typhoon) on hidden nationality causes you to declare war on that units owner. Current example I have is a gorilla and elephant I'm wanting to weaken as Doviello but can't thanks to this little bug.

I had some axemen with BOTH Iron AND Bronze weapons .. +1 strength from each, not sure if they are the few who have been upgraded from warriors ... anywho, now after another round of upgrades I have several strength 9 champions with both Iron and bronze weapons.

I tested this and I wasnt able to reproduce it. Casting a direct damage spell on a hidden nationality unit of another player doesnt cause war.

I wasnt able to reproduce this. Any ideas where the iron weapons came from? When I tested through the normal process of entering a city it didnt apply both.

In a hotseat game neither of the 2 human players are getting the +2 health from fresh water for their cities that are established right next to a river. In the attached screenshot i get +5 from forests and +2 from difficulty.

2. New version of the Momus scenario (smaller map).

This is for the WEAK.

the iron weapons for all units came from the mines of gal-dur, I looked back thinking those 3 units were acquired when a barbarian city converted, but there were only 2 units in the city when it flipped, and they prob got moved around at some point anyway... maybe they were all made in the same city before I got the mines? I'll post a series of saves at critical points in a bit ...

Edit: Oops just realized there's a Scenario feedback thread!

But anyway, here's something I've found. AI archer/longbow don't seem to take advantage/use drill promotions they all have combat up the wazoo.

So umm...

In the "Perepentach declares all wars" scenario. I declared a war :P

Good ol wonder cast snowfall, causing me to unexpectedly war the dwarves.

Not that I minded.

In a side note... This map. Is ****. Please, PLEASE replace it again.

In the Momus, Ive been in a war w/ everybody except perp for such a long time I cant even remember. The only way ive been able to survive was because I went for longbows, and I have 2 extremely high promoted cannibalizing longbowmen that went up the drill line first. Those 2 can defend against entire stacks as long as they stick together. One does the def strike (~30% average) and the other just kills everything with cannibalize.

Ignore the cannibalizing longbows for the moment, cause I was just posting to make sure that the fact that I've been in constant war with everybody with very little time to build buildings and expand was intentional.

Had two units on a Dungeon. Explored with one and found a portal. Sent him through, but both were transported, leaving two copies of the other unit, one at each location.

The top AV priest, Profane, now requires the Incense resource instead of Reagents as in previous versions.

Not sure if this is an intended change, but I didn't see it in the changelog, so I'm posting the possible ?bug?

Also, to the people that keep posting scenario bugs in this thread ... didn't you even read Kael's first post? c'mon people!

I wasnt able to reproduce this. Any ideas where the iron weapons came from? When I tested through the normal process of entering a city it didnt apply both.

I managed to reproduce this as well when playing as the Doviello, and having copper and iron resources.
Upgrading my captured worker to the Axemen UU gives it bronze weapons, and upgrading it further to the Champion UU gave it iron, whilst keeping its bronze weapons.
However, after I obtained mythril, iirc the mythril weapon overwrote both earlier upgrades, leaving me with the proper 10 str.

A separate issue about the Doviello.
Their Phalanxes now require training yards, which they are unable to build, and thus they are unable to build phalanxes.

Where are you seeing ectehouse.mp3?

I was playing and in the box at the top of the screen ( you know the one that lists alerts like "great people was born in xxx", "a forest has grown near yyy", etc. ) appeared a message saying that the game failed to find file
Fall from Heaven II/Assets/sounds/soundtrack/ectehouse.mp3

As there doesn't seem to exist a thread for cosmetic issues with the latest version, I'll post it here. Hope nobody minds. :D
Playing in 1024x768, I noticed that the display of the messages at the top of the screen is cut off a bit. And the hover text for the Manabar display isn't showing translations for whatever reasons (triple checked that there is one for German). Screenshot of both issues:

*edit*
Ignore everything below. I was so eager to solve this I jumped to conclusions before doing proper testing. It's two different problems.

Spoiler :

Finally figured out what's making the save I posted above crash. As to why that would cause a crash I have no clue right now.

Steps to reproduce the crash:
End the turn. The city of Girona will finish building a royal guard and start building a diseased corpse. CtD.

Now, here's the weird part. I was able to reproduce this another way...
Click ctrl + z to reveal everything. Click on Girona. Click on any unit to build. Crash. The weirdest of it all is you are not actually changing the production this way. Try click on some other city in reveal all mode. You can't change it's production. So why's it crashing?

I checked and it's going through the whole CvCity::canTrain function so whatever the cause is it happends after that is called.

i can't start the "into the desert" scenario - no matter what choices i take in the previous one (Fall of Cuantine), i've tested both choices concerning rosier and both for the next civs, calabim/malakim
the fall scenario ends normally but the other one just can't be startet, just as if i hadn't played the previous one

Sorry if I missed anything on this already...

I built Genesis and was taken to an odd Spaceship Screen. :crazyeye:

My problem is how to get out of that screen. I can only see a 'ZOOM' button that doesn't seem to do anything.

The only way to exit is to hit ESCAPE which allows me to go back to the Main Menu, etc. I reload my last save which came just before Genesis is built and it is 'Groundhog Day' allover again. ;)

I won't ask for the FFH Spaceship explanation, but how do you escape from that screen?

Thank you.

Same here. I also didn't recieve the trophy for Fall of Cuantine scenario. And in the trophy room, the description is missing on it (it's just TXT_KEY_WB...)
