FfH2 Bug Thread

11. Barb units offer less xp than the units of your enemies.
12. Barbarian world units (Orthus, Acheron, etc) will grant xp, even past the 100xp limit.

What about the Boss Babarians from the Dungeons (Azers and such)?

I would guess they wouldn't give anymore over the 100 XP limit. Just because they're a normal barbarian unit with levels, experience and promotions already slapped on it.

Cant seem to make it past turn 471 (not sure if anyone else goes this far into the game anyhoo?). i have a save file for the turn before.

When i press end turn it shows the spinnning globe for loading but never gets to the next turn ( i have left it for 20 mins but im pretty sure its not just slow).

Using patch t (shame coz i was creating a lovely hell feeling :P)

Tried and failed :( everytime this happens i have to hard reset the comp. guess im gonna have to abandon the game fully then :(. hope it doesnt happen everytime i hit turn 471.

EDIT: Wife has a game just got passed 471.. She plays total peaceful games and hasnt got the infernals in her game spreading hell like in mine.. really dont know what has caused this crash.

Very nice save. It will be fixed in the next patch. The Svartalfar are trying to load a unit in a ship to come attack you. But the ship has hidden nationality so it cant accept the unit and the Ai is pouting about it.

BtW, I love the tiny map (makes isolating the crash really easy, I always hate when someone gives me a 1 meg gi-nourmous map to try to find a misbehaving unit in). But you have some very weird game options selected, and this kind of water heavy islands map is about the worst possible for the AI.

^^ i love islands plus wanted to see if the ai could conduct invasions overseas properly with the different promos available for ships.

thanks for looking too :) i will wait til next patch to continue that game then. i have noticed that they love to use the privateers and assassin units a lot (even though they are friendly with me).

will stick to fractal earthmaps from now :).

Thanks again.

The patch wont fix this save game without a little help. The patch will keep the ai from assigning the assault ai definition to hidden nationality ships. But it wont fix ships that are already like that (such as in your save).

You will be able to fix it after you have the patch by going into the worldbuilder and switching the privateer in Faeryl's most northwest city from the Assault ai type to Pirate (you can do this right now to lay further but she will probably switch it back in a few turns and cause the same hang).

so will this mean all maps with water may be a bit iffy til next patch or just those with a load of it. or was it just my weird settings in general. lol

Anyone running on water heavy maps could run into it. Im starting to see only really rare condition sort of crashes (which is good news because it means that we are stable). But this one could have happened to anyone so Im really glad you posted the save.

Hah, it caught him at his blind spot. :ninja: :hide:
Nice find. Counts for Hawks as well if I remember rightly from some of my games (didn't bother me much since my hunters + Scouts sure saw those things.). Seems to be a different kind of invisibility...

Here's a rather interesting bug. The dragon's roar causes units to run away from you. If an enemy army is camped outside of your city, and you go behind said army, it is possible for Roar to cause those enemy units to run into your city, taking it over without any combat.

6. Patch S: Got a champion with both Bronze & Mithril (Shaymizz - Post 220)

Whenever a civ has access to Copper and Mithril, but not Iron, and upgrades a unit that can use Bronze weapons but not Mithril weapons to a unit that can use Mithril weapons (a Warrior to a Champion, for example), the upgraded unit is given Mithril weapons but does not lose Bronze weapons.

This is very abusable. By choosing not to build a Training Yard in one or more cities it is possible to have those cities still produce Warriors (which will be given Bronze weapons) after Champions are available. The Warriors can then be moved to a city with a Training Yard and upgraded to Champions, at which point they will be given Mithril weapons without removing the Bronze weapons.

I suspect that the upgrade to Mithril is checking for and removing Iron weapons but not Bronze weapons. In order to prevent this problem, part of the process of upgrading to Mithril Weapons needs to be checking for both Bronze and Iron weapons, and removing the obsolete promotions.

I dont know about you but this seems like it would make a classic Monty Python scene!!!

is the civilopedia supposed to not show civ-specific art anymore?

Playing with Doviello in a Big and Small map I can't explore lairs. 0.40t

EDIT: nope, Charadon has barbaric trait the same as Clan of Embers

ok, the pedia problem was just with the Ljosalfar for some reason. any explainations?

also, I'm playing a Huge big and small map as the Amurites, and i can only find about 10 mana nodes in the world... Is that just bad luck?
